As 2024 winds down, remember to take time to rest and recharge. Contrary to the 'lazy' stereotype, many ADHDers struggle with rest. After a long day, constant racing thoughts and negative self-talk further exhausts the brain, which can lead to burnout. ADHDers! I am absolutely thrilled to share this interview with you all! It was such a joy to sit down with Dr Oli Sophie Meredith and discuss my journey. Throughout our conversation, I shared my personal experiences growing up with dyslexia and ADHD, and how these experiences have shaped my path. We dove into the complexities of advocating for neurodiverse individuals and people with disabilities, and I reflect on the ongoing journey of peeling back the layers to truly live as my authentic sel. I hope my story resonates with you and provides some insights and encouragement on your own journeys. #inclusion#ADHD#celebrate#difference

The Australian Government has released their response to the Senate inquiry into ADHD. Of the inquiry’s 15 recommendations: - 1 has been supported - 9 have been supported in principle - 5 have been noted. The Government’s response signals a policy of maintaining the status quo rather than holistic reform. The Inquiry’s report illustrated how the ADHD community is chronically underfunded, needs additional access to diagnosis and treatment, and requires more research. These critical areas have not been addressed. Read the full release: https://lnkd.in/g5C4fYNR #adhd #adhdadvocacy #adhdawareness
