The strength of any industry lies not only in its achievements but in the relationships that power them. The AusBiotech, BioMelbourne Network and ARCS Australia End of Year function, held on Wednesday evening at Melbourne Public, was a perfect reminder of why we thrive together. These events are more than just an opportunity to reflect on a year of milestones —they are a chance to strengthen the bonds that make innovation possible. A sincere thank you to our hosts for organising a very enjoyable night, and to all our friends who came together to celebrate. Here’s to more shared successes and collective growth in the year ahead! #endofyear #celebration #networking

We welcome the release of the Victorian Government's Economic Growth Statement and its acknowledgment of the immense potential within our life sciences industry. The emphasis on health technologies, venture capital growth, clinical trials, and reducing regulatory barriers is particularly encouraging, as these are essential drivers of collaboration, innovation, and commercialisation. We support the sentiments shared by Karen Parr and Rebekah Cassidy in the joint BioMelbourne Network and AusBiotech media release below. With their leadership, and the momentum from this statement, Victoria’s life sciences ecosystem is set for remarkable growth. We're excited to be part of this journey! #healthtech #medicalresearch #clinicaltrials #economicgrowth

Outsourcing Clinical Trials East Asia and Clinical Trial Supply East Asia, two parallel meetings recently held in Seoul, South Korea, were our last big international trade events for 2024. We were left in no doubt that the Korean life sciences industry is once again blooming, a fact that presents many exciting possibilities as we look towards 2025. For our Senior Business Development Manager, Sharon S., being in attendance provided a fantastic opportunity to engage with clinical trial sponsors that are keen to pursue projects outside of their home market, raising their awareness of the advantages that Australia’s life sciences ecosystem can offer. The chance to reconnect with partners who are already taking advantage of these benefits was also valued. Our sincere thanks to the Arena International Events Group for once again making these events a joy to attend. We also extend our gratitude to Juliet Woo from the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) for the new introductions she facilitated on our behalf. We are incredibly grateful for her support and look forward to further strengthening our partnership with Austrade in the coming year. #360biolabs #clinicaltrials #biotech #drugdevelopment #outsourcing #supply #bioanalytical #Asia

AusBiotech 2024 promotes innovation, collaboration, commercialisation and equalisation. Reflecting on the themes of last week's events in Melbourne, we were inspired by the economic and social impact Australia's life sciences sector is having, and by the increasing role of new technologies in addressing healthcare inequities. We valued the opportunity to network with industry peers, explore new projects, and strengthen existing ones, setting the stage for an exciting 2025. Throughout the week we attended and sponsored several engaging events. We thank: • Invest Victoria and Global Victoria for their networking luncheon to welcome AmCham Australia, and their Victorian Networking Reception for health, biotech and life sciences professionals, at which welcome addresses were delivered by The Hon. Tim Pallas and Dr Amanda Caples. • MTPConnect, Nucleus Network and Global R&D Pty Ltd for partnering with us to present ‘The Australian Advantage’ to the visiting delegation from Korea, Japan and Taiwan. • AusBiotech CEO, Rebekah Cassidy, and Federal Minister for Health and Aged Care, The Hon. Mark Butler MP, for their keynote addresses on the opening day of the conference. • AusBiotech and BioMelbourne Network for both their networking event and the establishment of their new MOU which will strengthen collaboration between the two organisations and benefit our industry. • AusBiotech for recognising the life and achievements of Dr Iris Depaz from Sanofi, both through The Depaz Oration and the establishment of the Iris Depaz Award, following her sad passing. • Life Sciences Queensland Ltd (LSQ), in particular Natalie Davis and Sally Dillon, for their networking evening. It is always great to connect with Queensland industry colleagues and partners. We are already looking forward to next year’s meeting and the incredible progress we will have made as an industry by this time. #AusBiotech2024 #lifesciences #biotechnology #innovation #collaboration #commercialisation #equalisation #clinicaltrials #TheAustralianAdvantage

Thanks to the support of the Victorian Government and City of Melbourne, 360biolabs recently had the wonderful opportunity to connect with Chinese biotech companies in the cities of Beijing and Tianjin, and showcase to them the comprehensive and cutting-edge clinical trial capabilities of our state. We were proudly represented by our Senior Business Development Manager, Sharon S., who has an in-depth understanding and appreciation of the needs of life sciences businesses in Asia, and how they can be met and exceeded by our team. Our sincere thanks to those that joined Sharon on this roadshow and helped promote the Victorian ecosystem - Helen P. (Victorian Government), Bonnie Shao (City of Melbourne), Chris Hickey (Nucleus Network), A/Prof Tina Soulis (Alithia Life Sciences), and Grace Liu, Grace Ji and Windy Li (PwC). Many thanks to our Australian clinical trial event sponsors CanSino and Accendatech for providing valuable experiences to the delegation. #clinicaltrials #research #biotech #Melbourne #Victoria #China

During AusBiotech 2024 this week, we had the privilege of hosting the visiting Korean, Japanese, and Taiwanese delegation at our 360biolabs expanded purpose-built facility in Melbourne. MTPConnect, in partnership with 360biolabs, Nucleus Network, and Global R&D Pty Ltd, presented to the delegation the benefits of Australia for clinical research and trials. As a trusted market for biotech and pharmaceutical industries in APAC, we can support the development of early-phase trials. After the presentations, the delegations had a walk-through of our state-of-the-art laboratories and a site tour of Nucleus Network. Thanks to Jarrod Belcher GAICD, Dr. Pavel Reddy, Teena Pisarev and the attendees of this event! We value the opportunity to communicate the services we can offer and demonstrate our capabilities. Thank you to the delegation for including this event in their itinerary. We look forward to growing our connections. #AusBiotech2024 #lifesciences #biotech #clinicaltrials #research #Korea #Japan #Taiwan #Australia #TheAustralianAdvantage #networking
