Protecting Sensitive Information As the digital world evolves, the need for secure printing remains critical, especially for organisations managing sensitive documents. Breaches can lead to compliance issues, reputational damage, and financial loss. With the imposition of stricter security regulations and standards globally in recent years, coupled with the increasing sophistication of counterfeiters, the challenge to provide trustworthy security documents is greater now than ever before. We’ve been extremely proactive in developing and providing solutions to meet the needs brought about by these developments and have had considerable success in producing and supplying security printed documents to the international market. Empowering the next generation We recently met with Ms Deirdre Doyle and her students from Avondale Community College as part of our Business in the Community partnership. During their CSPE (Civic, Social, and Political Education) class, Alison Norman for Business in the Community introduced the students to the World of Work programme and outlined the different sessions that will be hosted in the school and onsite at Smurfit Kappa Security Concepts. CSPE is a mandatory course in the Irish post-primary curriculum that helps students develop into active citizens. The course has three strands, rights and responsibilities, global citizenship and exploring democracy. There is a strong focus on student action aimed at giving students an experience of active citizenship. This partnership is an excellent opportunity for students to gain first-hand insights into the world of business and discover how companies like SKSC can drive positive change in communities. Thank you to Avondale Community College for letting us be part of this learning journey - here’s to empowering the next generation of leaders! #SKSC #BITC #AvondaleCommunityCollege #FutureLeaders #CorporateResponsibility

We were delighted to host a visit today from Sergeant John Fitzpatrick, Crime Prevention Officer from Bray Garda Station. As part of our security arrangements it is important that we have a responsive service from An Garda Síochána so this visit was very useful to underline the critical nature of our operation. ‘It was a great opportunity to discuss physical, logical and document security and to strengthen our relationship with our local Gardaí’ said Caoimhe O'Donoghue, our Customer Service and Compliance Manager. #security #secureprinting #community Photo left to right: Allister Carlile (Production &Technical Manager), Sergeant John Fitzpatrick, Caoimhe O’Donoghue (Customer Service & Compliance Manager), Peter Thomas (Managing Director)

Earlier this month our Managing Director, Peter Thomas and Sales Director, Brendan Lynch travelled to Morocco to meet with our colleague Mounir Naciri, Managing Director of Smurfit Westrock Morocco, to formalise our plans to open a satellite sales office at the Rabat site. Opening an office in Morocco will enable us to continue grow in the African region, supporting the ongoing development of secure printing for items such as passports, excise stamps, vehicle & driver credentials and education certificates - helping to eradicate fraud. We are very grateful to Mounir for his advice and hospitality. As part of their visit Peter and Brendan also met with His Excellency, the Ambassador of Ireland, Mr. James McIntyre who was visiting the Smurfit Westrock Rabat site. He also arranged for Peter and Brendan to present their plans to his Ambassadorial counterparts from several African states at his residence in Rabat. This fantastic support is greatly appreciated. #InvestmentInAfrica #AfricanGrowth #SecuritySolutions #GlobalLeadership #SmurfitWestrock #SKSC #DFA

Protecting our team The health and well-being of our team is always our top priority. We believe that fostering a healthy work environment is key to thriving as a business, and we're proud to take proactive steps to protect our people. This week we ran an in-house Flu and Covid vaccination programme at our offices in partnership with Bray Medical Centre. Today our New Production and Technical Manager , Allister Carlile invited members of our Finishing , IT and Admin Departments to see our new Rotatek printing press and recent refurbishment of the Print Department. For some, it was the first time they had been in the Print Department. It was a really great opportunity for our team to see where many of our high security products start life in the work flow. Allister used this informal briefing to thank the team for their continued support and highlighted how important a clean and organised environment is for health and safety and the creation of quality products. Taking a little time out to share what the business is doing and where each team member fits in is key to what we do at SKSC. #SKSC #Print #Security #Rotatek #Innovation

Prioritising the well-being of our team As part of our commitment to continuous improvement and Health and Safety training, we have invested in new power pallet trucks to assist our team in the transfer of printed reels of paper between different locations and processes. Based on feedback from our Operators, Managers and Health and Safety team, we worked in partnership with Euro Lift to develop a customised unit to meet our specific requirements and address an existing manual handling issue. At SKSC, the health and safety of our team is our top priority. This investment reduces the risk of injury from manual handling, and improves the overall working environment for our colleagues. A big thank you to Derek Teeling from Euro Lift, who delivered training for the team on how to use the new customised pallet trucks.
