☕ Reflecting over my morning meta mug of coffee on the brilliant Education Summit hosted by #Meta in London last week. 🧑🎓 The event hosted almost one hundred European teachers, educators and creators.  With very warm welcomes from Sharon Kritzer & Matthew Sanders and the launch of the Meta for Education Beta program, backed the the powerful new Meta Quest 3S. One of my highlights was the very insightful fire side chat with Nick Clegg about the Future of the metaverse and the role #AI will play in the future. We also had fantastic lightening talks from many of the educators themselves, like Inspired Education Group with many fantastic use cases of how immersive technology is already being used in classrooms around the world. It was an honour to see ENGAGE XR called out for our work with Miami University, and how we can help many more educators meet their immersive goals. Finally it was so beneficial to meet so many like-minded people in the networking and breakout sessions, extraordinary people who are driving the future of the what #immersive technology can do for their students and future learning. Our Sales Director, Abid H., had the distinct honour of presenting a groundbreaking live Mixed Reality presentation at the Spirit of Hospitality Summit at Purdue University, in collaboration with Shinyong (Shawn) Jung.   The session showcased our innovative Athena AI, alongside Poppy AI, a character built using our AI builder, and featured insights from our School of AI characters. Just some of my thoughts from attending Meta #Connect2024 today.

We are looking forward to our ENGAGE XR School of AI launch in just a few short weeks and am excited for all of our educational partners to give it a spin 😃 At launch we will have 20 characters available along with additional related tasks and locations making this a fun and enjoyable experience for both educators and students. I have spent countless hours conversing face to face with these historical figures, learning things I had not known. For example, asking Neal Armstrong what the most anxiety producing moment of the mission was, what lessons learned from the mission that would be important for future missions to Mars and beyond, what geological features were the most interesting and what the overview effect was like for the team. Conversing with notable influencers that I had very limited knowledge of previously was also a treat...discussing politics of their day, customs, challenges and the many interesting facts about their area of expertise. Following these moments, I would often find myself digging deeper online to learn more and finding online documentaries to enhance my knowledge even more. Equally exciting is that we will be releasing the tools and dashboard for people to build their own AI entities. I will save that information for another post 🚀 This video was shared by David Whelan asking the figures to tell them little known facts about themselves that people might not know. So much fun to unleash your curiosity! 🧠

Something a little different today. We are in final testing phase just before the release of our #School of #AI and as part of testing we have full conversations with historic characters on a wide range of topics. If you could ask any person in history, alive or dead, one single question what would it be? Please put your suggestions in the comments below and we will ask for you if we have the character in our roster. For launch we will have 20 characters available along with additional related tasks and locations making this a fun and enjoyable experience for both educators and students.
