We help and inspire organisations to make better energy and sustainability decisions using data and our software.
About us
EnergyElephant is one of the fastest-growing sustainability tech start-ups around. With over €2 billion in energy/sustainability costs managed to date, we believe that everyone can achieve great sustainability outcomes without needing to be an expert. Our multi-award-winning sustainability software uses automation, AI, and analysis technologies to help you create, store, organise, analyse, report, and act on all your energy, waste, water, and carbon data in one simple, searchable location. The EnergyElephant platform supports data across multiple countries and currencies, making it ideal for businesses with geographically distributed operations. You can simply upload thousands of energy/fuel/water/waste bills, invoices, or spreadsheets to your EnergyElephant account and get executive-level insights in minutes. We can also automate the process of importing new bills for larger users. Our platform supports access to real-time IoT sensors and sub-metering systems from multiple country/region data sources, to provide live views and analyses. We support numerous methodologies to provide best-in-class accuracy in carbon footprints based on your actual energy use and grid-associated carbon emissions (Scope 1, Scope 2, Scope 3). And our easy-to-use, audit-ready reporting tools ensure your data is compliant with international protocols and frameworks, including: B Corp, CDP, CSRD, Energy Star, ERIC, GRESB, Greenhouse Gas Protocol, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, SBTi, SECR, and more. By empowering more organisations with the tools they need to improve sustainability, save time, meet compliance, and reduce costs, we are committed to accelerating decarbonisation and achieving the Net Zero future that our planet and people deserve. From Trinity College to Temple Bar, Across Ha’penny Bridge where the Liffey flows far, Past Georgian doorways, And pup tents that stay, Beneath the Spire in the mire, bizarre. The gulls and the pigeons take flight near the quay, While a thief on a bike makes his getaway spree. A sea of Dubs flows, And culchies, God knows, With sausage rolls flaky as pastry can be. A Guinness in hand by a fire’s warm glow, And oysters and chowder where soft breezes blow, Sweet Molly rolls past, Her song echoes vast, Through streets broad and narrow where memories grow. ⚡️🐘🎄 What a wonderful Christmas lunch that was! On Friday 13th December our little herd of remote-working pachyderms met up in Dublin for a 3.5-hour walking food tour. Around 6 food/drink stops in total, with our lovely tour guide also sharing a bit of the city’s history at about a dozen or so landmarks in between. The perfect way to enjoy one another’s company, celebrate another successful year of business (EnergyElephant will be turning 10 in 2025!), and kickstart the silly season 🥂🎉

🗞️ In the most recent Sunday Times CLIMATE supplement (24 November 2024), our CEO Joseph Borza expressed his confidence in Ireland’s thriving energy technology sector, and the opportunity it presents for the country to become a global leader in pioneering new technologies that will aid our global clean energy transition. ⚡️🐘 “From EnergyElephant’s point of view, I think Ireland is one of the best countries in the world to be a smart energy technology software company ... There’s a real potential for us to become global leaders in this space.” 🌎🌍🌏 Our customers’ success stories speak for themselves. Data indicates an average of almost 40% reduction in an organisation’s overall carbon and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions whilst using our software. And by automating tedious manual processes, we help professionals reduce their energy and carbon data management time by more than 90%. Spending less time and energy on wrangling data means more time to spend on efforts that actually improve sustainability outcomes. It’s a win-win for both productivity and performance 💪🏼 Check out this two-minute customer video testimonial on our website that demonstrates the power of our partnership approach, and see how we equip multi-site companies with the tools they need to accelerate decarbonisation efforts across the business to reach their energy and climate targets: https://lnkd.in/eKK-DJZp #sustainability #decarbonisation #energymanagementsoftware #sustainabilitysoftware #climatetech #greentech #energytechnology #dataautomation #dataanalytics #cleanenergytransition #ireland #climateaction #cop29

Thanks for including EnergyElephant in your article on the #cleanenergy transition, Anna Sheehan 🙏🏼⚡️🐘 For the benefit of those who don’t have a subscription to The Sunday Times & can't read the article online, we’ve copied and pasted our CEO Joseph Borza’s contribution to the 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 section in Anna’s article below👇🏼 EnergyElephant, a software platform founded in 2015 that supports organisations in creating efficiency in their energy use, is focused on businesses’ contribution to the energy transition. To guide these businesses towards meeting their energy goals and targets, Joe Borza, the company’s chief executive, and the team take their clients through their so-called “4-Gets” process because “an elephant never forgets”. “It’s a terrible pun,” says Borza, laughing. “But it works and helps it stick in people’s minds. ‘Get’ one is accumulating the data. ‘Get’ two is gathering insights from that data and figuring out what it tells us. ‘Get’ three is about generating actions from those insights, including projects, plans and targets. Finally, ‘get’ four is meeting the target and hopefully exceeding it.” Borza is optimistic about Ireland’s potential as a clean energy leader and points to its thriving energy technology sector. “From EnergyElephant’s point of view, I think Ireland is one of the best countries in the world to be a smart energy technology software company,” he says. “There are several companies working in the area here who are all global leaders in what they do.” He emphasises Ireland’s opportunity to become a leader in pioneering new technologies that will aid our energy transition. “Ireland will hopefully start deploying some of the newer energy technologies rather than waiting for the US, the UK or China to try them out first. We should also be developing some of these technologies ourselves. There’s a real potential for us to become global leaders in this space.” https://lnkd.in/e96aq9dk #climatetech #sustainabilitysoftware #sustainability #decarbonisation
