Retailer SuperValu and ClemenGold®, South African mandarin brand, are proudly looking back at a decade of treating Irish citrus lovers to this premium mandarin - almost year-round. 🍊 ClemenGold has been available in Ireland since 2014 as part of a supplier relationship with donnelly fresh and annually some 140 million ClemenGold mandarins are sold in Ireland. Shoppers can now get their hands on this premium mandarin almost twelve months of the year with fruit from South Africa from June to October, and fruit from the Morocco and Spain from November to May. We're thankful for partners like SuperValu and Donnelly - it's been a dream journey!

A few weeks back, our team had the privilege of attending the Gathering of Growers event at the beautiful Airfield Estate 🌿. It was an incredible day focused on bringing together those who grow and supply produce to supermarkets, restaurants, hotels, cafés, markets, and more—connecting every link in the food chain right down to the general public. 🥕🍽 We were honored to hear from August Bernstein, Head Gardener at Raymond Blanc’s two Michelin-starred Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, who shared how the produce grown is at the heart of their dining experience. 🌟 Her insights on elevating growing practices were truly inspiring. Gavin Kenny, Airfield’s own Head Gardener, and Professor Mary Brennan, a leading voice in food research, also shared invaluable perspectives on strengthening our sector and tackling future challenges. 💡 Events like this remind us that when growers, suppliers, and innovators come together, the possibilities are endless. FoodCloud has redistributed over 1,571 tonnes of food. That equates to approximately 5,027 tonnes of CO2-eq avoided and 3.7 million meals equivalent donated to a national network of over 650 community partners.
