📢 Launching the #S.H.O.P Campaign! CSNA and Shelflife are proud to launch Ireland's largest-ever national leaflet drop both digital and in-print, which will reach over 250,000 retail staff this week! Together, along with retailers and the national media we’re distributing crucial information to empower retail workers with S.H.O.P. – a set of policies designed to protect retailers and their teams in the face of rising crime. S.H.O.P. stands for: 🔹 S - Sentencing ➔ Mandatory jail sentences or exclusion orders for those who abuse, harass, or assault shop workers 🔹 H - Hotline ➔ A local retail crime hotline in each Garda divisional area 🔹 O - OK to Ask ➔ Change defamation laws so shop workers can ask if someone has paid for goods 🔹 P - Presence ➔ Increased Garda presence in retail areas With election season upon us, this campaign gives retail workers a powerful voice to hold political candidates accountable, urging them to prioritise the safety of our stores and communities. “It’s time for change,” says Vincent Jennings, CEO of the CSNA. “Retailers are the backbone of our communities, and we need candidates who will stand up for their safety. 🚨🛑 "Stop Crime Against Retailers" Campaign Launched in Dublin 🛑🚨 This week at Fallon & Byrne in Dublin, a new campaign called "Stop Crime Against Retailers" was launched, urging the government to take immediate action to combat the alarming rise in retail crime. 🏬❌ Spearheaded by ShelfLife in partnership with the CSNA, the event emphasised the need for stronger legal protections and faster Garda response times, as crime continues to devastate retailers across the country. We are excited to post our 1st video from the CSNA event this year which was held in the Fitzpatrick Hotel on Tuesday, May 28th. The day started with registration, where members enjoyed tea, coffee, and delicious scones. We then had informative workshops to help members with retail business issues. A delicious lunch followed, capped off with ice cream by HB. The AGM kicked off with speeches from our President, CEO, and accountants, followed by an open forum for member questions. Members had the chance to network, chat with Dubco Ireland about membership benefits, green business loans, and see a Tomra reverse vending machine demo. Members relaxed and unwound with food and drinks after the AGM, then dressed for the evening with a prosecco reception and a 5-course meal. We had loads of raffle prizes and raised €5,000 for charity. Thank you to all members for contributing.
