The logistics industry is changing, and a new solution is coming to improve how biogas and recycled fertilizers are transported. This solution was created by teams from Finland, Poland, and Estonia during the #LiukasHackathon. Using ideas from Waybiller (Estonia), AISEEMO sp. z o.o. (Poland), and Freight Automation by HOGS (Poland), this combined solution aims to improve how recycled nutrients are transported. Testing starts in early 2025! This project shows how teamwork, smart ideas, and working together across countries can create better, more sustainable logistics solutions. Last week we introduced the digital process for inbound grain shipments. This week, you can take a look at our outbound digital grain processes. For outbound shipments, each truck can have only one active transport order at a time. The process begins with an initial weighing to record the truck's empty weight, followed by loading the goods. After loading, a second weighing is performed to determine the full weight. Once completed, the driver is cleared to proceed to the destination, with transport prices calculated automatically based on the shipment details. Ever wondered what the digital process for managing incoming grain shipments looks like? Here's how it works! In this video, the driver has created an e-waybill through Waybiller and proceeds to the terminal scale with a loaded truck. While the truck is being weighed, the lab collects samples, inputs the data into the e-waybill, and assigns a warehouse for the grain. The automated scale then verifies the truck’s e-waybill and records the full weight. After unloading, the driver returns to the scale for tare weighing. Waybiller’s system automatically calculates the net weight and updates the waybill. The goods' owner can instantly access stock balances via Waybiller’s inventory feature. It's really that simple!
