  • 🎄 Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from all of us at Raab! 🎄 This year, we decided to 𝘵𝘳𝘺 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘯𝘦𝘸—a holiday greeting video! Let's just say... Spielberg has nothing to worry about (yet). 😅 Our team at Raab might be experts in product development and engineering, but video-making? Well, that’s officially on our list of New Year’s resolutions for 2025. 📹🙃 Here’s to a holiday season filled with joy, rest and maybe a few lessons in video editing! 😉 Let us know how we did (but be gentle—it’s the season of kindness, after all!). #MerryChristmas #HappyHolidays #ProductDevelopment #NewYearResolutions2025

  • Are you ready for Top Tip #26? Here it is: Embrace the Power of ‘No’! Have you heard the saying "Less is more"? Well, sometimes it also applies to product development. Saying ‘no’ to feature bloat and unnecessary additions is essential for keeping your product focused, streamlined and user-friendly. 1. Overcomplicating products can confuse users and dilute your core value. 2. Prioritize features that solve real problems. Every addition should enhance, not clutter. 3. A focused product is easier to maintain, update and scale in the long run. Remember, saying ‘no’ is not a weakness, it’s a strength that keeps your vision clear and your users happy. • 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝! Designing for inclusivity goes beyond just a "nice to have", it’s crucial to ensuring everyone can benefit from what you create, including people with disabilities. Consider things like: • Size and weight: Is it manageable for people with limited strength or dexterity? • Controls: Are they easy to use for different grip strengths or hand sizes? • Accessibility: Can wheelchair users use your product? By designing for inclusivity, you're not just complying with standards, you're creating products that can be enjoyed by a wider range of people. #InclusiveDesign #ProductDevelopment #Accessibility

Marketing Manager at Raab OÜ - Product Development & Engineering Services

I don’t post often, but today I wanted to share something that really impressed me. Here’s the backstory: Some time ago, our engineers at Raab OÜ reached out to Formlabs for a prototype made from a specific material crucial to one of our projects (a pretty standard day in product development). But then, something unexpected happened. Along with the requested prototype, Formlabs sent us a big box of sample prototypes that can be created using their printers. You might be thinking:" Where are you going with this?" Don't worry, it's not a sales pitch. I noticed the box in the office and took the opportunity to explore the samples because, although I’m a marketer, not an engineer, understanding what drives our industry is important to me. I was truly impressed by how far 3D printing has come and wanted to show you as well. So, are you ready to see a glimpse of what 3D printing has made possible?   From flexible, durable parts to see-through or fire-retardant materials, moving components and intricate architectural models—it’s incredible to see the range and detail achievable. There was even a detailed model of an apartment with tiny stairs, tables, an extractor hood in the kitchen AND miniature chairs (although I’ll have to admit that I accidentally broke this prototype, hence the detached tiny chair you’ll see in the video 😅). Let me know which one impresses you the most, or if you've come across any other cool examples! I'd love to hear your ideas! #3DPrinting #ProductDevelopment #Prototyping #Engineering

  • Top Tip for Product Success: Solve the Right Problem! The foundation of every successful product lies in solving a genuine problem for its users. But that's not enough — you also need to make sure that the problem you're addressing is common enough to make your product idea profitable. This ties into the concept of product-market fit: for your product to truly take off, there needs to be a large enough audience experiencing the issue you aim to solve. Focusing on a rare or non-existent problem might lead to a well-designed solution, but it won’t gain the traction necessary for growth. Do your research to ensure you're addressing a pain point that matters to a wide audience, and your product will stand a much better chance of success. #ProductDevelopment #ProductSuccess #ProductMarketFit #StartupTips

    • Ensure your product solves a real, widespread problem to achieve the traction and growth needed for success.
