We are proud to announce the start of maritime construction at the $1.2 billion Port of Ndayane in Senegal, a transformative project that will position the country as a leading hub for global trade. With the arrival of the Willem Van Rubroeck, work begins on dredging a 5 km shipping channel to support the region’s largest and most advanced port infrastructure. Designed to accommodate the world’s largest container ships, the Port of Ndayane, with a capacity of 1,200,000 TEU in phase 1, will unlock significant trade opportunities, driving economic growth and global connectivity. This milestone reflects our long-term commitment to Senegal and to improving trade infrastructure in developing markets. By 2035, the project is expected to boost GDP by 3%, add $15 billion in trade value, and support over 2 million jobs across the country. Find out more: https://lnkd.in/eaZwNnYN

At this year’s Nedbank Golf Challenge, we celebrated Sub-Saharan Africa’s thriving citrus industry with a ‘Hydration Station’ in our chalet, delivering refreshing citrus drinks to our players and guests. Mozambique, along with Eswatini and Zimbabwe, is home to a growing citrus industry led by generational farmers. We have enhanced Mozambique’s port of Maputo and transport networks, elevating the local citrus industry to international levels. Oranges, lemons, grapefruits and limes support the livelihoods of thousands in Mozambique, providing jobs, boosting the economy and sustaining communities. #SmartLogistics #SmartLogisticsToATee
