Yesterday, on behalf of the The Shipowners' Club , the General Manager of the Club’ Pascal HERRMANN and I visited the psychiatric service of the Hôpital Schuman in Luxembourg to offer a donation to this service before Christmas. We were warmly welcomed by residents and staff who were all happy to share a friendly moment as they opened their presents. A nice taste of Christmas in advance. We were also honoured to receive a gift, generously handmade by one of the team at the hospital, upgrading a piece of marble with our logo engraved on it, to say thank you for our donations. You can find out more about the Foundation of Hospital Robert Schuman and how you can offer your support by visiting their website https://www.fhrs.lu/ #shipownersclub #believeinyourself

Whatever a Member’s size or trade, the Club can provide cover for legal and other expenses that may be incurred as a result of a dispute, claim or proceedings. If a Member requires legal assistance to bring or defend a claim, our Legal Costs Cover (LCC) insurance can respond, subject to checks on merit, costs and quantum. Our large team of practising in-house lawyers, in addition to the Club’s network of correspondent lawyers who specialise in various maritime practice areas, are available to assist Members with advice and guidance when required. This LCC is offered exclusively to Members of the Club who have P&I insurance, however it is available to both owners and charterers. If you are interested to hear more, see your broker or contact your underwriter at the Club: https://lnkd.in/eP4VgzHk #renewal2025 #legalcostscover #marineinsurance

Louise Hall, Director of Loss Prevention, Marketing and Corporate Responsibility, recently attended the ISWAN 2024 Seminar to join a panel discussion titled "The Impact of Decarbonisation on the Welfare of Seafarers". The panel engaged in conversations around how global efforts towards maritime decarbonisation are impacting seafarers, with key topics such as job security, the need for new training to handle emerging technologies, and the introduction of more sustainable practices being addressed. The panel concluded with practical suggestions for protecting seafarers' well-being as the maritime industry continues to evolve. Thank you ISWAN - SOUTH ASIA for hosting an incredibly insightful event, and reinforcing the importance of our collective efforts to improve the welfare of seafarers and their families. #decarbonisation #maritimeindustry #paneldiscussion
