Looking back at our NMC family day 2024. Last Saturday, we celebrated our NMC family day at our main production site in Eynatten, Belgium. Our collaborators were invited to spend the day with their loved ones and colleagues with plenty to do for grown-ups and kids alike. Our colleagues had the opportunity to guide their families on a factory tour through different production halls and warehouses (including our newly built ones) and show them everything we do at NMC. The kids had a blast with bouncy castles, a clown, magicians, special guests “Frozen”-queen Elsa and Spider Man and much more. All this was topped off with a sunny day, some music and plenty of sweet snacks, savoury bites and refreshing drinks for all. Last Thursday, we welcomed a number of scientific staff from the #InstitutfürKunststoffverarbeitung (Institute for Plastics Processing) as part of their excursion week. The visit gave us the opportunity to exchange ideas with experts in plastics processing and to familiarize them with NMC, our technologies and products. The exchanges emphasize the existing cooperation between IKV and NMC and forms a solid foundation for further projects. #nmc #team #plastics #visitor

On 23 and 24 June in Eupen, NMC actively participated in the Relay for Life, Belgium’s most important solidarity movement fundraising for world-leading cancer research, led by the Foundation against Cancer (Stichting tegen Kanker - Fondation contre le Cancer). Together with all fellow participants, we successfully raised over €85,000; funds which contribute to local projects as well as broader cancer-related causes. Our dedicated NMC team members took turns to walk and run the track for a full 24 hours, showing support for this important cause and standing united in the fight against cancer. Our hearts go out to all families affected by this devastating disease. Following more than 25 years of dedicated work and exemplary leadership at our side, our CEO, Hubert Bosten, is passing the torch on to his successor, Florent Pouzet, thus opening a new chapter in NMC’s history. Florent is 46, has two children and lives with his family in the Düsseldorf area. He is of French nationality and speaks fluent English as well as German. After 3 years with Ernst & Young (EY), he joined Saint-Gobain in 2005, where he held various management positions in 4 countries. In this capacity, he brings extensive experience in change management, proven track records in business development and more than 20 years of experience in a multicultural environment. We are excited to embark on this new journey with Florent and wish him a warm welcome to the NMC family. Over the years, much has been achieved at NMC under Hubert’s valuable guidance. For more than 25 years, Hubert and his team have pursued a growth strategy based on geographical expansion, innovative product launches and close cooperation between all stakeholders. Under his leadership, NMC has grown from 2 to 12 production sites, with sales offices in 15 countries, increasing annual turnover from €100 million to €350 million and the workforce from 560 to 1700. We wish to wholeheartedly thank him for his relentless pursuit of excellence, outstanding results and all the good times spent at his side. As of April 2, Florent has taken over the role of CEO of the NMC Group with Hubert training and familiarising him with his new position until the end of the month. Hubert will however remain in close contact with NMC as a member of the Board of Directors.
