[#WeAreAccorInvest 🙌] What shapes a hospitality leader like Vincent Gasnier, General Manager of Novotel Bordeaux Centre and Mercure Bordeaux Centre-Ville? A mix of global experiences, heartfelt #passion, and a relentless drive to connect with people. 🎓Vincent’s journey began with a passion for pâtisserie, inspired by the creations of legendary chef Gaston #Lenôtre. Though societal norms steered him toward a different path, he embraced hospitality by enrolling at Lycée Saint-Anne in Saint-Nazaire, one of the best hospitality schools in France. 🇺🇸 After graduing, Vincent ventured to Seattle for a 3.5-year university program, soaking up the innovative energy of a city that birthed Microsoft, Amazon, and Starbucks. “I wasn’t the most diligent student but the experience was unforgettable.” 🏨Vincent joined Accor in 1999 as a receptionist at Mercure Nantes Centre Grand Hôtel. His leadership skills quickly stood out, leading to his role as Deputy Manager at the first Novotel Suites in Lesquin. In 2001, he became a Project Manager for Novotel Suites at Accor’s headquarters in Paris, where he contributed to the brand’s growth and development. In 2006, Vincent achieved one of his proudest accomplishments—opening Novotel Suites Lille Europe as #GeneralManager. His next chapter brought him to Bordeaux, where he became General Manager of Novotel Bordeaux Centre in 2013. Since 2020, Vincent has overseen both Novotel and Mercure as Site General Manager, embracing the challenge of managing two brands under one roof. 🤝Vincent and his team recently gained recognition as finalists in the AccorInvest #ESGInnovationAwards for their groundbreaking Courtesy Box Project, which reimagines the way hotels manage courtesy boxes. This innovation saves three hours per day for housekeeping teams!
