We are excited to share that we recently held Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) training sessions! The sessions were both engaging and insightful, providing valuable learning experiences for all of us. Through these workshops, we gained a deeper understanding of how DEI shapes our workplace culture, enhances interpersonal interactions, and fosters an environment where every individual feels valued and respected. The training covered a variety of important topics, including neurodiversity, where we explored its different types, characteristics, and strengths. We also discussed the role of unconscious biases and cognitive modes, learning how to recognize and mitigate their impact on decision-making and assumptions about others. Additionally, we addressed the concept of microaggression, exploring its subtle yet significant effects on individuals and discussing ways to foster healthy, respectful communication within the workplace. Through self-reflection exercises and group discussions, we were able to deepen our understanding of these topics and gain greater awareness of our own biases and behaviors. We extend our sincere thanks to Erum Chaudhry, Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer Americas at Lufthansa Group for her keynote, and to Hannah Kühne, Health and Diversity Manager from Lufthansa InTouch, and Prof. Dr. Maria Douneva for leading these important workshops, and to our entire DEI team for the organization. At zeroG, we are deeply committed to growth and learning, particularly in the area of DEI. We have a team composed of amazing individuals from around the world; therefore, understand that an inclusive environment and cultivating positive relationships among colleagues are among our top priorities. #DiversityEquityInclusion #DEI #InclusiveWorkplace #WorkplaceCulture #zeroG #LifeatzeroG

We attended the second networking meeting of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) InnoCops community at the KI Biennale 2024 in Essen, hosted by Digital Campus Zollverein e.V. This year’s theme, “Generative AI in Economic Applications”, was highly relevant to us and provided an excellent platform to explore the latest developments in Gen AI across various sectors. The discussions ranged from the role of AI in product development to the challenges of the shortage of skilled labor capable of implementing GenAI into business processes. One of the most inspiring aspects of the day was the interactive networking sessions, where participants exchanged ideas, challenges, and solutions. From zeroG’s side, Dr. Philipp Schade took the stage to showcase how our AI-powered solutions are significantly transforming operations and enhancing decision-making in aviation, highlighting the immense potential of AI to streamline complex processes and improve efficiency. We would like to extend our thanks to Rainer Schüller-Fengler and DLR Innovation & Transfer for organizing such a dynamic and insightful meeting! It was an amazing opportunity to learn, share, and collaborate with such a dedicated community! #KIBiennale #InnoCops #GenAI #Innovation #AviationTech #zeroG #LifeatzeroG

We had the pleasure of attending the Lufthansa Group Innovator Award Ceremony, celebrating the most forward-thinking projects that turned ideas into impactful solutions. Out of approximately 100 projects submitted across the Lufthansa Group, we are thrilled that 6 of our initiatives were recognized among the top 18 nominations in their respective categories. Our product seer – Turnaround intelligence; ATO Air Traffic Optimizer, a collaboration with Lufthansa Group; LIDO NOTAM-AI Extractor our joint project with Lufthansa Systems; Claim Summarizer in cooperation with the Lufthansa Group Digital Hangar; and Dr. Keyvan Sadri and our project Elisa with the Lufthansa Group Digital Hangar. We are especially proud to share that our Tray Tracker solution won the AI Trailblazer Award. Developed through a collaboration between zeroG and the Lufthansa Group, Tray Tracker addresses sustainability challenges in aviation catering by using AI to monitor food waste. With the airline industry generating $2.3 billion in food waste annually, Tray Tracker enables more sustainable catering decisions, reducing waste, cutting weight, and improving passenger experiences. Special thanks go to Andrea Lima, Dr. Alexander Motzek, Dr. Simon Nakhoul, Adnan Manzoor, and Dr. Stefan Fiebiger for their dedication and contributions that led to receiving this award. We’d also like to thank our partners Dirk Schäfer, Kathrin Sturm, and Dominik Noe for their invaluable support in making this possible. A big thank you also to the organizers of the Innovation Roadshow and the Award Ceremony for providing an inspiring platform to showcase these innovative ideas, as well as to all our zeroG colleagues who attended and supported this journey.
