  • Amazon Pharmacy 💊 steps up the pace: Same Day delivery of Rx pharmaceuticals will be available in half of the US, by 2025. 🛒💨 Amazon's history in the health segment hasn't only been successful. However, adding prescription medication into the same-day facilities around major US towns shows that they have far from given up. Now, Amazon is going full on into the pharmacy business, by tackling both: 🏙 Major towns as high density and high income areas with a high pharmacy density (and hence strong competition) 🏕 Underserved rural areas with a low pharmacy density Walgreens and CVS Pharmacy have been making great progress in eCom lately, but they'll need to work hard to secure their share. (We hereby focused on three categories: Lawn Mowers, Drills, Tools) 💡 Key Insights: - OBI Group Holding has not been able to establish such a strong lead vs. it's multichannel competitors. - toom Baumarkt, HORNBACH Baumarkt AG and several other multichannel DIY shops have drastically stepped up their eCom game, in the last years. - ManoMano is way less important than it's media coverage would suspect - Some surprising players play a much bigger role than expected, e.g. QVC Want to learn which data sources you can use to easily analyze your clients? 👉Then just write "Yes" in the comments!   • 📢 Big news affecting #eCommerce retail in the US this week. 🛒 The US, like Europe has seen a surge of incoming shipments from China from low-cost retailers such as #Shein and #Temu. These retailers have been able to avoid paying import duty by splitting shipments up and staying under the import duty threshold. 🚢 🛑 Now the Biden administration looks to apply tariffs to products sold by these retailers removing the 'de minimis' advantage they benefited from until now. ❓ What does this news mean? 💪 This is a move that looks to strengthen local retailers such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, and GAP Inc. Furthermore, it could also forecast what regulations the Eurozone could apply to prevent two things: 🎁 1. low-cost goods from flooding the market 🌿 2. the environmental strain from splitting and shipping several parcels to avoid import duty levies Interested in reading more?
