#Milence opens its first charging hub in Germany 🔌 🔋 Another step toward emissions-free road transportation: Milence – the joint venture between Daimler Truck, TRATON GROUP and Volvo Group – has opened a truck charging hub in Germany. The facility, located at the Hermsdorfer Kreuz in eastern Thuringia, just off the A4 – one of the busiest routes between Poland and Frankfurt am Main – offers eight charging bays and four high-performance 400 kW chargers. Our sales expert Deniz Türkoglu attended the opening. There, he was able to explore the possibilities of the new #charging hub and exchange ideas with industry experts and decision-makers, including Tobias Prenzel, Head of Business Development at Milence. New toll system to take effect in Denmark next year In 2025, an independent toll system will be introduced in Denmark that replaces the longstanding Eurovignette system. Here’s what you need to know: - Start date: 01.01.2025 📅 - Affected vehicles: From 12 t (buses excluded) 🚛 - Network size: Approximately 10,900 km 🌐 - Tariff structure: Based on vehicle weight, CO2 emissions class and number of low-emissions zones crossed. 💡 - Tariffs: Current tariffs can be viewed here: 💶 (https://lnkd.in/dDF-Erfa ) - Higher tariffs apply to journeys within the environmental zones of Copenhagen, Frederiksberg, Odense, Aarhus and Aalborg. Postponement of Swiss toll system changes In the coming months, the HVC (LSVA) II toll system in Switzerland will be replaced by the new HVC (LSVA) III system. However, the previously communicated start date of 01.01.2025 has been pushed back to 01.03.2025. Here are other details to be aware of: - Toll collection criteria and parameters remain unchanged during the transition to HVC (LSVA) III . However, toll rates will be adjusted beginning 01.01.2025 in line with inflation. ⏳ - The dismantling of Swiss toll terminals is being postponed by approximately three months to the end of May 2025. 📆 - In addition, the launch of the new online booking system has been pushed back to 01.04.2025. 🌐 Top tip: To save time and maintain your independence while on the road, we recommend you switch to an EETS on-board unit (OBU). This will provide the flexibility to settle toll charges through UTA Edenred without having to pause your journey or make repeat online bookings.
