𝐅𝐚𝐫𝘃𝐞𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧! 🇩🇰 The Nordics never fail to inspire. Last week in Copenhagen was a whirlwind of meaningful conversations and connections with changemakers shaping the future of the climate tech ecosystem. Here are some highlights: 💡 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗗𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿: Hampus Jakobsson (Pale blue dot) and I co-hosted an intimate dinner with an exceptional group of climate innovators, diving deep into topics ranging from nuclear fission to geothermal breakthroughs. 🧊 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝗟𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗣𝗹𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗲: A spontaneous 5°C dip right by the byFounders office – the ultimate energy boost! Big thanks to Eric Lagier for the swim shorts. 🥐 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘅 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗹𝘆: Serendipitous wordplay with my nickname, but a 10/10 setting at Polly Café with Kasper Hulthin, exploring our entrepreneurial roots and visions for the future. 🌍 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀: Engaging discussions with Novo Holdings, ABB, Danske Bank, and Maersk Growth about their strategies for investing in transformative solutions that benefit both their businesses and the planet. Copenhagen remains a beacon of climate innovation, and this trip was no exception. Thank you to everyone who made it so impactful – until next time!

🌍 Are you working on breakthrough technology to tackle climate change? We‘d love to hear about your vision! We‘re committed to backing industrial decarbonization solutions with a measurable climate impact. 🚀 Recently, our team members Iris and Thong were featured by ClimateHack, discussing what’s currently top of mind at Visionaries Tomorrow: 1️⃣ 💧 Natural Hydrogen: Potentially a cost-effective alternative to green hydrogen, derived from the Earth's crust through geochemical processes. 2️⃣ 🏗️ Concrete Recycling: With 3 to 10 billion tons of concrete waste produced annually, recycling could drastically cut CO2 emissions by 720 million tons per year. 3️⃣ 🏭 Steelmaking: The steel industry's massive carbon footprint is being tackled with promising solutions like electric arc furnaces and direct reduction pathways. 💡 Want to know what other impactful solutions are top of mind for climate tech investors? 🌍 What did we take away from The Drop in Malmö this year? 🧱 We started out by moderating the The Climate Brick workshop on new technology with Adam Ross from Morgan Stanley to discuss the evolving playbook of taking disruptive climate tech from lab to global scale. ☕ We co-hosted the "Industrial Climate Tech Breakfast" with Unruly Capital, which was the perfect opportunity to (re-)connect with the ecosystem after the summer break. 🛠️ Thong Le Hoang teamed up with Christian Vollmann from C1 Green Chemicals AG for their Ripple on "Hydrogen: Fuel of the Future or Technological Utopia". Together with the participants, they explored clean hydrogen's role in decarbonizing industries like heavy-duty transport and steel, examined the economic viability of green/turquoise versus grey hydrogen, and considered the promise of geologic hydrogen. 🙏 A big thank you to the organizers, attendees, and conversation partners. We can’t wait to see you all next year!
