We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Heerema Marine Contractors for the wonderful tour on their impressive crane vessel Thialf. 🚢 The Thialf is a semi-submersible crane vessel that was used, among other things, as an installation vessel for installing the monopiles (He Dreiht) manufactured in our factory at sea. In order to be able to transport the heavy monopiles, the Thialf has a total load capacity of 12,000 tonnes. The ship's two cranes have an approved capacity of 7,100 tonnes each. This makes the Thialfs one of the most powerful floating cranes in the world. 💪 It was a fantastic opportunity for our team to learn more about the impressive technology and facilities on board. We were particularly impressed by the sheer size of the entire vessel, cranes and especially the new pile gripper. The entire experience was extremely informative and inspiring. 🙌 Thank you once again for the invitation and the warm hospitality. We look forward to future opportunities for collaboration. 🤝

Monopile foundations have established themselves as the first choice for offshore wind turbines and are currently the most commonly used foundation type. 🙌 STEELWIND specializes in producing monopiles and single piece foundations in series for water depths of up to 60 meters and beyond. Currently, monopiles are manufactured in our production facility for the Baltic Power project. Completion of the wind farm in the Polish Baltic Sea is scheduled for 2026. 🌊 📸 Jonas Ginter

A few days ago, the load out of our first three Monopiles for the windfarm Baltic Power, which is being built on the Polish Baltic coast, took place. 🌊 A total of 78 Monopiles are being produced at our plant in Nordenham and will now be transported step by step to the marshalling harbour in Rönne on the Danish Island of Bornholm. 25 shipments are still to come. 🚢 The windfarm is scheduled for completion in 2026. 🙌

Another forward-looking step towards achieving the ambitious climate targets! 🙌
Planning ahead! We have signed a framework agreement with Steelwind Nordenham GmbH securing production capacities for up to 300 monopile foundations. Given the challenging market conditions, this will support us in delivering future European offshore wind projects. The monopiles will be manufactured in Germany from 2027 onwards and made from Dillinger quality steel. The agreement also includes options for additional services such as the delivery of secondary steel structures, as well as storage and marshalling support.
