🌱 Advancing Green Pharma Together 🌍 Last week Stephanos Camarinopoulos and Aggeliki Giakoumaki from RISA Sicherheitsanalysen GmbH had the pleasure to participate in the Horizon Europe Green Pharmaceuticals Projects Meeting that was held at the European Commission DG RTD premises in Brussels. The ENVIROMED EU project, coordinated by RISA Sicherheitsanalysen GmbH, was proudly presented alongside its sister projects Impactive, SusPharma, TransPharm Horizon EU project, and ETERNAL. This full-day event brought together key stakeholders and experts from both institutional and private sectors, fostering discussions on advancing environmentally sustainable practices in the pharmaceutical industry and highlighting the importance of collaboration for a sustainable future. We are proud to have shared this milestone with our #ENVIROMED partners Prof. Michael Harasek (Vienna University of Technology), Jurgita Šikšnienė (Metis Baltic), and George Antonaropoulos (IRES) that also participated in the event. Since then, the initial field of our activities has expanded from probabilistic safety, risk and reliability analysis mainly for nuclear energy plants, to complex information system applications, decision analysis and support tools, optimisation and data analysis for various other industries and engineering offices. Our clientele includes, among others, the railway, automotive, and aviation transportation industries, as well as other public and private institutions. The application of scientifically based methods and acquired scientific knowledge to problems in practice is not a mass business for us. This activity requires a lot of commitment both from the customer and from us as a service provider. Both sides are rewarded by a very deep understanding of the object of analysis. Key highlights from the recent RISKADAPT Workshop on Risk Assessment of Structures under Climate Change, hosted by the ISS Institute of Steel Structures NTUA. RISA Sicherheitsanalysen GmbH had the opportunity to present on #RISKADAPT during the workshop, showcasing our commitment to advancing climate resilience in structural design. Also, as a partner in the PLOTO project, we are focused on leveraging existing and emerging tools to develop an integrated planning platform for Inland Waterways (IWW) transport infrastructures. Our work in Middleware and Data Fusion (DF) services is key to this effort. The knowledge shared during the workshop is vital for enhancing collaboration across both projects.

A special thank you to Environmental Reliability & Risk Analysis (ERRA) for organizing the event and to the ISS Institute of Steel Structures NTUA for hosting us, along with our speakers and attendees—whether in Athens or joining us virtually—for their valuable contributions. Experts and project partners from leading EU-funded projects, including RISKADAPT, PLOTO project, MIRACA Project, #ICARIA, and YADES MSCA RISE Project, came together to share insights on crucial topics such as material degradation, risk assessments for bridges, buildings, and steel lattice towers, as well as climate adaptation strategies. ✨ We’re excited to share that RISA Sicherheitsanalysen GmbH took part in the Kick-off Meeting for the newly launched ARMADILLO EU Project, held on October 03-04, 2024, at the #DIMOKRITOS premises in Athens, Greece.✨ This #EUfunded initiative will develop innovative portable tools for GHB detection, enhancing the capabilities of Law Enforcement Authorities and forensic institutes. ➡ RISA aims to apply, adapt, and expand its risk assessment framework through ensemble Machine Learning algorithms, enhancing the project’s approach to security and risk management.
