Shining Solutions: Solar Power at Tenjo Warehouse! 🔋 Blu Logistics LATAM, part of the Rhenus Group since September last year and currently transitioning to operate under the Rhenus Logistics brand, has installed 264 solar panels at its 11,700-square-metre warehouse in Tenjo, Colombia. 🎉 “With the installation of these solar panels, we will cumulatively reduce our carbon emissions by 106 tons per year and generate enough energy to supply 26% of our distribution center's power needs,” stated Natalia Duran, Head of Sustainability for Blu Logistics LATAM. The Tenjo warehouse supports diverse industries, offering services like inbound and outbound logistics, storage, picking, packing, order certification and kitting. It serves clients in health and wellness, beauty, pharmaceuticals and more. Global brands, including Henkel, which occupies 60% of the space, are already benefiting from these enhanced sustainability measures. 🤝 As a participant in the UN Global Compact, we actively support the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), aiming for a better and more sustainable future. Our Tenjo facility holds certifications such as BASC, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and others, ensuring compliance with the highest standards for storing and handling medical devices, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and hygiene products.
