We've added a particular series of data sources to our dataset in recent weeks: US state-level Medicaid exclusion lists. These contain those who have been barred from joining Medicaid programs due to misconduct, fraud or other violations. We hope that these data sources contribute a small puzzle piece to the integrity of public healthcare by helping compliance officers in their decision-making. #compliancedata #healthcarecompliance #medicaid https://lnkd.in/epgSd52r

The EU's 15th sanctions package targeting Russia that was published in the afternoon today is one of its largest yet – and it's straight away going to be included in the next release of our dataset going out this evening (we had already added many of the Russian shadow fleet ships sanctioned today from a Ukraine government source two weeks ago). We noticed today the EU must have found new sources for details on Russian individuals: The entries on bomber pilots that targeted Ukrainian cities and their children hospitals came with their passport & tax numbers. Detailed information like this will help to correctly identify those persons in screening systems that work with our data. See here for our EU sanctions data: #sanctionsdata #sanctionsscreening #russia #ukraine #shadowfleet https://lnkd.in/erMx549s

Yesterday, the US OFAC sanctions office designated Gazprombank along with 50 smaller Russian banks (and various securities issuers, VTB bank officials). We've now reconciled the sanctioned banks against reference data from the Russian Central Bank and companies register so that we can provide detailed profiles of all newly-sanctioned financial institutions. What happens when two institutions of the EU - the Council and Commission - are required to cooperate on a time-sensitive issue like publishing sanctions data? Delays in the EU's sanctions data mean that the measures are less effective in freezing assets and stopping evasive financial flows. It also means that the EU's own database is not able to meet the standard set by new EU laws like the Instant Payment Regulation (IPR). In this article, we're writing about trying to find out what's going wrong (nothing!), what we're doing to overcome the issue (everything!), and what's needed to properly address this failure of the European policy process (something!). https://lnkd.in/en_RXJUS
