🎉 2024 in review: A year of growth, collaboration, and achievements! This year brought challenges for many around the world, with political and economic uncertainties shaping the landscape. At OpenProject, we are deeply grateful for a year of growth and progress made possible by our incredible team, supportive users, and vibrant Community. As the year comes to a close, we want to reflect on what we’ve accomplished together — milestones that inspire us to keep building for the future. In 2024, we: 🚀 Released 28 versions, improving features like progress tracking and introducing exciting ones like dark mode and emoji reactions. 🎨 Made major design improvements, creating a more modern and user-friendly experience. 🤝 Collaborated on the launch of openDesk 1.0 with other open source leaders. 💙 Grew our team and connected with our Community at events worldwide. 📢 Feature update alert: Creation of child work packages from the Relations tab With OpenProject 15.1, we improved the Relations tab and with it temporarily removed the ability to create sub-tasks (work package children) directly due to technical updates. Don’t worry - we're working hard to bring this feature back soon! 🚀 OpenProject 15.1 has been released! 🚀 We’re excited to share the latest updates to enhance your project management experience. Here are some of the highlights of this release: 🛠️ Custom fields of type hierarchy (Enterprise add-on): Easily structure your data with hierarchical relationships directly in your custom fields. 🔗 Redesigned Relations tab for work packages: Enjoy an updated, more intuitive interface for managing relationships between work packages — now based on the Primer design system. 📅 Improved Meetings index page: A cleaner, more user-friendly overview for organizing meetings, also built on the Primer design system. 📄 Manual page breaks in PDF exports: Take full control of your PDF formatting, including manual breaks in the work package description. 🌟 Zen mode for project lists: Focus on what matters with a distraction-free project list view.
