The goal is nothing less than to decarbonize the 17,000 square meter production location. MAHLE is venture capital investor and technology partner of Sunmaxx PVT—making headlines with photovoltaic-thermal systems that generate electric power and heat from solar energy. ESG Transparency Award 2024 for MAHLE EUPD Research has awarded MAHLE the ESG Transparency Award 2024. The accolade is awarded to companies that have successfully anchored future-oriented sustainability concepts in their organization and communicate them transparently. #Pioniergeist grows even stronger when shared: joining forces with Valeo in developing a 40% more sustainable, innovative magnet-free electric axle system. Introducing the iBEE system (inner Brushless Electrical Excitation), this cutting-edge technology aims to revolutionize performance and efficiency of magnet free electric motors—targeting upper segment electric vehicles with peak power ranging from 220 kW to 350 kW. The carbon footprint is expected to be reduced by more than 40 percent versus a permanent magnet electric motor of equivalent power. Valeo and MAHLE signed a Joint Development Agreement to combine both, MAHLE’s expertise on magnet-free rotors with its MAHLE Contactless Transmitter (MCT) technology and the expertise of Valeo in electric motors, inverters and associated motor control laws.
