The luxury model “Tourbillon” from car manufacturer Bugatti, planned for 2026, has many surprises in store. ⏱️ 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eKgQjXMn Instead of a digital version, the display features a genuine Swiss timepiece from the Concepto workshops behind the steering wheel, which displays the central vehicle data. Stepper motors from FAULHABER ensure the precise translation of the electronic signals from the car’s onboard computer to the hands of the cluster. Each motor is connected to the hands solely via a worm gear, while the other motors have a more complex transmission specially custom developed for this application. They have to withstand the temperature fluctuations caused by direct sunlight and freezing winter temperatures and at the same time be precise and responsive.
