  We’re at f.u.n.k.e Avionics are proud to announce that one of our latest LRUs has passed the EMC qualification test campaign without any fail. This was a huge step towards the aspired goal together with our client HENSOLDT Sensors. The Unit will be installed in the pressurized area of an #aircraft with the intended function of converting electrical signals into fiber optic signals and vice versa. We are very excited to proceed with the qualification for environmental and mechanical testing. Thanks to the #HENSOLDT team and #Liebherr Electronics and Drives for the close collaboration until now.

We are pleased to announce a significant milestone in our LRU project: The successful completion of the Critical Design Review (CDR). The team at funke AVIONICS has developed a communication device tailored to meet the precise specifications of our client. Designed for integration within pressurized #aircraft cabins, the Line-Replaceable Unit (LRU) boasts the capability to receive, process, and transmit blanking information with optimal efficiency. Following the CDR, our team is now preparing the integration of the hardware to be qualified during intensive environmental tests. This project is a result of our collaborative efforts with our partner and customer, HENSOLDT, reflecting our commitment to delivering innovative #avionics solutions in close cooperation with industry leaders.

funke AVIONICS participated today at the Bodensee Aerospace Meeting (BAM) in #Augsburg. We enjoyed the interesting discussions on the future of aerospace, innovative technologies and inspiring people!

funke AVIONICS successfully completed Master360 Flight Test Together with our partner Leibniz Universität Hannover, we completed a flight test campaign around #Ulm to verify the performance of the innovative antenna design. The antenna was developed in the frame of the Master360 research program. During the flight test, we determined the aircraft's heading and distance utilizing interrogation technology. To do this, our antenna on the ground sends a request for information to aircrafts and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). They then return a signal containing valuable information for tracking which may be used by Air Traffic Control (ATC). The Master360 project goal is to develop a cooperative system for autonomous flight of UAVs. It is supported by the Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Klimaschutz and executed with several partners including Airbus, Airbus Helicopters, ASX, BIT-TS, Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel, Deutsches Zentrum für Luft-und Raumfahrt e.V., DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH, funke AVIONICS, Fraunhofer FHR, Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften Hamburg (HAW Hamburg), Kappa optronics GmbH, and Leibniz Universität Hannover.
