Spreading Holiday Joy ✨🎄 This year, our Corporate Social Responsibility team organized a wonderful donation campaign for the DRK Seniorenzentrum Rüttenscheid, putting together about 185 gift bags with the help of an amazing team. From planning and shopping to packing and delivery, it was both a fun and rewarding experience. All ECONs got to show their heartfelt participation by writing personalized cards, adding a special touch to every gift. The highlight was personally delivering some of the bags and seeing the joy on the residents’ faces. In return, we received many warm invitations for coffee and cake. This marks already our 3rd year collaborating with the DRK, and slowly it feels like a tradition - one we are excited to continue in the years to come. Wishing everyone a holiday season full of joy and giving! 🌟

Celebrating the year 2024...or 1920?🪩 Last Friday we gathered for an extraordinary Winter Strategy Day. An event filled with good input, collective thinking, mutual appreciation, and celebration. This year it was all wrapped up in the vibrant spirit of the Roaring Twenties. It was a fantastic evening and first and foremost because of the intense work and heart of James, Katharina, Rebecca, Dilek, Christina, Vasilina, Florian and Tanja. Thank you! What Happens When our Business Team Members Step into Consulting? 🤔 This month, three of our colleagues took the lead in pioneering our new HR initiative, "BizOps Placements." Through a one-week placement of our Business Operations team members into consulting projects, we aim to foster deeper collaboration between the two units, enhance mutual understanding, and create opportunities for personal and professional growth. 🤝 At the start of the week, Anastasia, Julia, and Sophia weren’t sure what to expect from their BizOps Placement experience. However, one of the first noticeable changes was the shift in their calendars. For example, Sophia observed that the meeting structures were very different from what she was used to, but she quickly grew to appreciate them. These new approaches helped her to better organize and structure the day ahead within the team. Beyond structural insights, all three participants highlighted tangible skills they gained during their placements. These included advanced PowerPoint techniques and hacks for more effective communication, which they found especially valuable for their roles. We also asked the group if their view of consulting had changed through this experience. For most, the placement brought greater clarity about what consultants do and the high level of responsibility and trust they manage daily. The feedback from the consulting project teams was equally positive, highlighting the success and mutual benefit of this initiative. 🚀 Does your organization have similar cross-functional initiatives to encourage collaboration and growth? Festive Impact in Action! 🎄✨ This holiday season, the WeihnachtsWattWunder initiative brought the spirit of giving and sustainability to life at the E.ON headquarters in Essen!🚴️Colleagues came together to transform pedal power into meaningful change. For every watt-hour generated, E.ON pledged €3 to support social organizations in Essen. We teamed up with our E.ON colleagues to create an impact, showcasing the strength of collaboration. A special thanks to Moritz Kröplin from team ECON for his valuable contribution to this initiative. 💪 This act of charity was not only a creative way to combine fitness and teamwork, but also a powerful reminder of the value of energy in our lives.

Sabine, Tiechun, and Ali are making the cheerful holiday mood even better as they join us as an HR Coordinator, Consultant, and IT Specialist.
