Euro p.a.

    Founder, Design-Ops for Process Manufacturing

This is where we're going for future Design-Ops workflows in Process Automation: 1. Import/Synchronize all data from the P&IDs through DEXPI (start insisting to have DEXPI exports available for every new project you're starting, or you'll forever be stuck with manual or buggy AI extraction) 2. Define all the Unit Types and Instances (mixers, buffer tanks, fermentors, reactors, ...) 3. Define all Control Module Types and Instances (just a review step if #1 went well) 4. Design all Equipment Module Types and Instances (Optional, but very useful and powerful for bigger projects, especially if they have complex routing) 5. Design all Phase Types and Instances (Building on the Units, CMs and EMs from the previous steps, although Phase Types) 6. Link everything together: Interlocks, Control Loops, ... 7. Send out review and signoff links to relevant stakeholders 8. Hit that codegen button and generate 80% of the program. 9. Add the remaining ~20% of the program manually: special functions, complex control loops, link external machines, ... 10. Test, FAT, SAT. Track each controller download and add automated actions like backups, version freezing, ... 🤸♂️ 🤸♂️🤸♂️
