Another milestone for our electrification efforts! 🚚🔋   Recently, our colleagues at Daimler Truck Financial Services USA LLC and Daimler Truck North America joined Duke Energy Corporation and Electrada for the launch of their Fleet Mobility Microgrid in Mount Holly/North Carolina. This innovative charging facility is the first in the U.S. to offer a carbon-free microgrid for medium- and heavy-duty fleet vehicles. 🚀   Located adjacent to DTNA’s Mount Holly Truck Manufacturing Plant, the facility will be used by DTNA for charging its electric trucks. Moreover, the microgrid supports Salem Carriers, Inc., a key logistics partner operating Freightliner eCascadia trucks in DTNA’s inbound logistics network. With this facility, Salem can now charge their vehicles using clean, carbon-free energy, further decarbonizing DTNA’s supply chain and demonstrating the reliability of electric vehicles for daily logistics.   We at Daimler Truck Financial Services played a key role in the project by partnering with Electrada to provide an all-in-one Charging-as-a-Service solution, utilized by Salem Carriers. This innovative model simplifies fleet electrification by bundling infrastructure development, maintenance, and energy contracts into a fixed, predictable monthly rate, ensuring reliability and cost efficiency for transitioning fleets.   Our partnership with Electrada underscores our commitment to fostering sustainable transportation. Our latest global Townhall was a very special one streamed from our headquarters with live connections to and from five different continents. 🌍 We started with success stories that drive our transformation from pure financial to a complete service provider for the commercial vehicle industry. The initiatives stand for countless other activities all over the world and showcased the broad range of opportunities we have to accelerate our core business, to create new services and solutions and to increase our operational excellence. 🚀 Thanks to all the colleagues who presented and explained their efforts, challenges, and successes to the global audience! 👍🏻 In the second part of the Townhall, we honored individuals and teams for outstanding contributions to our company with our Hall of Fame Award gala 2024 🏆. Driving forward sustainable transportation! 🔋🚍 Here at the Daimler Buses eMobility Days 2.0 in Berlin, where our colleagues presented the latest developments, products and services for the electrification of city buses such as the first electric inter-city bus, the Mercedes-Benz eIntouro, we as Daimler Truck Financial Services should not be missing either. 🏈🎉 Go Panthers! 🏈🎉 Last weekend American football fever had hit Germany 🇩🇪: The Carolina Panthers faced the New York Giants at the Allianz Arena in Munich. Colleagues from Daimler Truck AG were lucky enough to attend the game – after taking part in a lottery at our company. 🙌 One of the winners was our DTFS colleague Andreas Wölfl who enjoyed the game to the fullest: 📣 "I'm a big fan of American football and watch the league on TV every Sunday. When I got the news that I had been drawn, I was really excited. Being able to attend the game in Munich was very special. It's pretty cool that Daimler Truck made it possible for me and the other colleagues to be a part of this extraordinary event!" This morning, Daimler Truck AG informed the capital market about the financial results for the third quarter of 2024 – including the financial figures of Daimler Truck Financial Services (DTFS).    In a challenging market environment, the contract volume of DTFS grew by 6% reaching nearly 30 billion euros. New business declined by 10% to 2.8 billion euros compared to the same quarter of last year.    Earnings improved significantly compared to the last quarter, but were below the strong quarter of the previous year. Although increased interest margins and cost-saving efforts bolstered our Q3 result the ongoing freight recession in North America and the associated higher costs of risk impacted our adjusted EBIT, which decreased to €39 million year-over-year.    Looking ahead, we anticipate the freight recession to persist through 2025 but remain optimistic.
