Having lived in Germany for almost a decade now, I’ve come to appreciate the power of bringing diverse cultures and people together, and this event was a shining example. Seeing more than 700 colleagues from all of our locations across Europe under one roof was not just about numbers; it was about fostering a sense of community. For me and my team, this event was a rewarding challenge. Coordinating with the event organizers, local tech teams, and so many stakeholders to ensure that every slide, sound, and detail flowed seamlessly and when collaboration and precision meet, the result is something to be proud of. Beyond the work, it was heartwarming to see everyone come together, share moments, and celebrate our achievements. The food was absolutely delicious and we grooved to the live music, which set the perfect mood. Moments like this remind me why culture, connection, and teamwork matter so much – both personally and professionally. 🔎📒24 Anecdotes: AutoScouts' Stories Uncovered - #23 Our VP Car Operations, Josef Finauer, shares a memorable moment of his time at AutoScout24 that highlights our commitment to innovate, and drive growth: "When I think back to a highlight of my time here, it’s the launch of AutoScout24 smyle. It marked a huge transformation for us—our first step into online car sales. Until then, we were a pure tech company with no physical vehicles, logistics, registration processes, and B2C sales teams. Building AutoScout24 smyle meant creating everything from scratch: our own logistics infrastructure, including a fleet of trucks, a remarketing system, and even custom software for operational workflows. The remarketing set-up was a challenge at first, but we found ways to leverage synergies with the B2B auction platform AutoProff, which is part of the Autoscout24 Group. This success was a true cross-functional effort, with teams from IT, Sales, Marketing, and beyond working together to bring it to life. For me, this project is proof that at AutoScout24, there’s no standstill—only opportunities to innovate and grow." 👉What's the 'our year 24' campaign about? 🎉Join us in celebrating a remarkable milestone this week! Our Team Lead Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Development, Ullmann Sebastian, is celebrating his 24th anniversary at AutoScout24. As part of our '24 campaign, we had the pleasure of sitting down with Sebastian to reflect on some memories and gain insights into his position. Find out what he had to share.👇   ❓What has your professional journey been like at our company, and what made you stay for 24 years?   💬 AutoScout24 was and is the first and only stop in my professional life after my IT studies. During this time, I have held many roles: software developer, software architect, team lead, head of, project manager, consultant, master of billing, etc. But the best part, then and now, has always been the people I have met and the friends I have made.   ❓What achievements or milestones are you most proud of during your time with us?   💬 When I started as a software developer, the IT team was in the process of separating the vehicle database from the web server, and two large computer racks were standing in the office. Today, after numerous evolutionary steps, our platform operates on a modern, cloud-based infrastructure. Back then, no one could have predicted the rapid pace of technological development. There have been many milestones along the way. I’ve had the opportunity to contribute to the introduction of new systems, major platform changes, and evolving business tools, to name but a few. There have also been several changes in ownership and leadership over the years, reflecting the dynamic nature of AutoScout24.   ❓What surprises applicants the most when they meet you for the interview?   💬 When I interview candidates for a position in the CRM team, I always promise them that they will never be bored at AutoScout24 or in the CRM team. I have kept this promise to this day, because the only constant in our company is change - and the never-ending pursuit of innovation.   Thanks a lot for sharing your insights, Sebastian!
