The Wiener Konzerthaus and Mozarteum University Salzburg rely on ARRI Orbiter to meet the unique demands of their world-class performances. At the Wiener Konzerthaus, where the program changes daily, flexibility is key. “We are a concert hall, not a theater. We play something different every day—a concert, a piano recital, a quartet. The Orbiter is an all-rounder that evenly illuminates the entire stage as a front light,” explains Viktor Scheck, Electrics & Lighting Wiener Konzerthaus. For symphony and philharmonic concerts, brightness is crucial, but the musicians must not be blinded. “Orbiter has very nice dimming properties and even dims perfectly in the lowest percentages,” Scheck adds, highlighting the fixture’s ability to balance powerful output with precision. Behind the Scenes of "Garbage Man" by director Alfonso Bergamo 💡 DP Daniele Poli told us that, together with Gaffer Daniele Zonetti, they created a unique setup combining outdoor and practical lights for the shoot. The team used: ✨ M-Series M18 & M40 ✨ 30 SkyPanel S60-Cs ✨ 30 SkyPanel S30-Cs ✨ Orbiter with Fresnel Lens 15-65° “The Orbiter proved to be extremely versatile! It was used to simulate candlelight in the scene set in the church and to replicate the flashing of police car sirens, allowing us to explore new creative frontiers. Thanks to its optics, we created striking cuts of light through the windows, adding depth and atmosphere to each shot. Step aboard "Fruitcake"! This VFX-intense Filipino film brought unique challenges, including shooting complex scenes in a confined space with multiple characters. Major sequences were filmed inside a stationary Light Rail Transit (LRT) car, with VFX used to simulate a moving train. With the help of ALEXA 35, SkyPanels, and other ARRI lights, the team brought vibrant, dynamic, and naturalistic visuals to life. With Christmas around the corner, it’s a time when many look forward to festive joy and wish lists full of dreams. But for some children, the reality is far different. The crew behind Sky Creative x The Multibank’s “Christmas Wishes” sheds light on this matter as multiple children are asked the same question: “What would you like for Christmas?” Directed by Jacques Salmon, the film was created for The Multibank as part of their initiative to redistribute surplus goods to families in need. So far, it has supported over 500,000 families in the UK. DP Edward Hiscox chose ALEXA Mini for its dynamic range and color handling to capture the story. To illuminate the large, old school hall, the team used ARRIMAX 18’s: “The goal was to light the scene in a way that emphasized the children as the main focus while adding detail in the background.
