✽ The Most Challenging (and Successful) Year of My Career ✽ With 2024 ending, it’s time to reflect. This year has been a whirlwind of challenges. Full of growth, lessons, and unforgettable moments. The contrast between January and now is unreal. I started the year as a new freelancer. It was full of unknowns, stress, and doubt. I spent three months on a project under budget. It wasn’t about money; it sharpened my skills. I poured everything into it and learned so much. By April, I decided to revamp my portfolio. I underestimated how much time it would take. What I thought would take weeks lasted months. But the hard work paid off. The new portfolio earned me two major awards: Site of the Day on both GSAP and CSSDA. ✽ Momentum Builds ✽ Around June, I got serious about social media. I began posting consistently, with a clear strategy. What happened next changed my career forever. Within months, I started receiving inbound leads. High-quality opportunities from people I truly wanted to work with. I doubled down, and the results were incredible: ↳ Over 6,000 new followers on LinkedIn. ↳ Consistent posting three times a week. ↳ Collaborations with insanely talented people worldwide. Fast forward to December, my most successful month. I generated €12,000 and even outsourced projects. I couldn’t keep up with the sheer demand. ✽ The Highs of 2024 ✽ This year has been packed with milestones: Launched my first SaaS: Annnimate. Won Web Developer of the Year 2024. Secured 23+ design awards, including multiple SOTDs. Named on the LinkedIn Golden List for Creatives by Muzli - Design Inspiration Hub. Worked on 10+ creative and challenging projects. accionvegana to Rome, my lifelong dream city. Traveled across Italy. Connected with amazing people and built real friendships. Started training for a marathon (it’s harder than I thought!). ✽ The Challenges ✽ But let’s not sugarcoat it. This year wasn’t just wins and milestones. I neglected my mental and physical health. Sleep took a backseat, and it drained me. I overworked myself and ignored my priorities. These are lessons I’ll take seriously into 2025. ✽ Looking Ahead ✽ Despite the lows, 2024 taught me resilience. Growth happens when you push through the hardest days. I’m endlessly grateful for everyone who supported me. From clients to collaborators, you made this year special. I will make sure to make 2025 even better. This time with a bit more balance. Much love, Julian
