His experience includes IT infrastructure, where he managed complex projects involving service desks, EDI, networking (routing and switching), cabling, data center management, backup, server administration, application integration, and more.   Gabriel is a certified SAP SD consultant and has a deep understanding of other areas such as SAP Integration, SAP BASIS, Solution Manager / Test Suite and Focused Run, ChaRM, System Landscape Management and Architecture. How can a tiny step create a big impact? Last Friday, we wrapped up a three-month mentorship program with AdEx Partners, focused on improving our operations through digitalization. The goal? To work more efficiently and free up time to focus on what truly matters: developing Impact Week further to reach its fullest potential. In global non-profit organizations like ours, managing multiple moving pieces can be challenging. Before this mentorship, we faced some common—but tricky—pain points: - Handling applications and travel data for 180 people at 8 different events manually in Excel spreadsheets - Coordinating calls across time zones from the Philippines to the West Coast USA, which consumed valuable time - Losing focus due to scattered and unsynchronized communication - Running out of storage on our old Google account (surprise—it was a private one!), while SharePoint proved less user-friendly for our many volunteers across the globe - Keeping the costs low - Providing user-friendly tools with easy access for our volunteers But with the support of our incredible mentors Finn G., Nathan, and Thorsten Schwab from AdEx, we implemented meaningful changes: What did we improve? - Google Workspace Upgrade: free upgrade with 100 TB storage and advanced tools, plus training on functionalities like Google MyMaps for saving trusted partners and vendors. - Competency Development: Enhanced Excel and Notion skills for improved database management and synchronization. - Process Automation: Transformed manual Excel workflows into efficient forms, tested free transcription tools for meeting minutes, and introduced a booking system to schedule calls effortlessly. - Improved Collaboration:Unified team calendars and established an organized file structure for better accessibility. These changes might sound simple, but their impact has been profound. By streamlining our workflows and strengthening our digital skills, we’ve not only saved time—we’ve also created space for deeper focus and collaboration.
