🎄 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧’𝐬 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝟓𝐆-𝐀𝐂𝐈𝐀! 🎄   As 2024 draws to a close, we want to take a moment to reflect on some of the milestones we've achieved together this year in the world of Industrial 5G.   ✨ 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 ✨ 𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐨 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐚𝐭 HANNOVER MESSE 2024: Our cutting-edge demo wall showcased the latest Industrial 5G advancements, a key feature that continued to inspire and inform industry leaders.   𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐬 & 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡: From the India Mobile Congress (IMC) to the IAS-Industrial Automation Show in Shanghai, our active participation in international events promoted the rapidly growing Industrial 5G ecosystem. We also had a fantastic experience at SPS – Smart Production Solutions 2024 in Nuremberg, where we highlighted the latest advancements in Industrial 5G and engaged with industry leaders and partners about the future of industrial connectivity.   𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬: We're proud to welcome new members into the 5G-ACIA family, further strengthening our community.   𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 & 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐬 & 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝟓𝐆 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐬: Our Plenary meetings in Austin, Beijing and Nuremberg gathered thought leaders from around the globe to advance use cases, regulatory frameworks, and market strategies for 5G technologies. The Industrial 5G Days were a highlight, showcasing testbeds and new applications that push the boundaries of what 5G can do for industries. In addition, our workshops brought together participants and expert speakers to delve into the role of 5G across key sectors.   We are excited for what lies ahead in 2025. Here are the key updates:   𝗪𝗚 𝟱: 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝟱𝗚 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 🔹 Lisa Underberg provided an overview of ongoing projects, including updates to the Demo Wall—don’t miss the digital version on our webside! 🔹 Gustavo Cainelli presented on the Testbed for International Interoperability of Industrial 5G. 🔹 Cole Saunders highlighted updates to the Industrial 5G User Guide on the website. 🔹 Niels König shared progress on the White Paper: Business value and ROI calculation for industrial 5G use cases. In addition he also introduced a mockup of the upcoming Industrial 5G Device Overview Database, soon to be launched on the 5G-ACIA website.   𝗪𝗚 𝟯: 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 & 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 🔹 Atte Länsisalmi delivered a status update as WG Chair. 🔹 Approval steps for the Machine Vision Architecture in Industrial Applications with 5G were outlined by Kurt Essigmann. Slawomir Stanczak, Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute HHI Beyond Campus OS introduced fascinating perspectives on campus network developments.   𝗧𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Cambridge Wireless Ltd delivered an insightful introduction to their approach and expertise by Michaela Eschbach.   𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀: We’re thrilled to welcome FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg and Equinor to the 5G-ACIA community!   𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀: 𝗪𝗚 𝟭: 𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 Michael Bahr gave updates on ongoing work items. Hanwen Cao presented the Closure of the Work Item on Use Case and Requirements for Integrated Sensing and Communication for Connected Industries and Automation. Besides the selection and Award ceremony the discussions centered around shaping industrial connectivity and reviewing progress in critical areas.     Welcome by General Chair Andreas Mueller: Kicking off the event, Andreas provided an insightful overview of the status quo of 5G-ACIA, addressing challenges, achievements, and the current status of our members in shaping the future of Industrial 5G. General Vice-Chair Afif Osseiran’s Presentation: He shared key topics for 2024, including the Testbeds, the introduction of 5G-ACIA 3.0, and the expansion of the scope with Ports & Mining Workshop in Frankfurt, MFA, and budget plans for the year ahead.     🔑 Key Achievements from the working groups include:  WG 1’s work on Industrial 5G-Advanced requirements and contributions to machine vision use cases.
