I believe that people usually want to deliver on quality, if they aren’t delivering it’s usually because they haven’t been given the skills/tools to do so or the environment isn’t conducive to delivery. In this instance, I’d be looking to make quality expectations clear, the requirements understood by the person, ensure that the tools are in place for delivery and that I’m available for guidance if and when required.
