It's Monday morning, 7:45 am. Maria, a service technician at Bayernwerk, opens her laptop before heading off to her first appointment. In the past, her day often got off to a hectic start: safety regulations and technical instructions were scattered across various platforms and had to be painstakingly searched for. But that is now a thing of the past. 🚀 Today, all it takes is one click in the digital assistant “meinBayernwerk”, which Bayernwerk - one of the leading energy suppliers in southern Germany - developed together with us at DXC Technology. Maria can see everything she needs for the day at a glance: the latest security updates, technical guidelines, the most important applications and a clear list of her next tasks. 🎯Our goal was to support Bayernwerk in developing a digital platform that would make the Bayernwerk team's day-to-day work easier, more efficient and more modern. To achieve this, we worked closely with the employees right from the start: We recognized their needs in workshops and developed the first concrete user journeys. After just 12 weeks, we were able to go live with a minimum viable product (MVP) - a platform that seamlessly integrates all important applications, digital tools and processes, resulting in “meinBayernwerk”. "meinBayernwerk" quickly became a game changer for employees' daily work because it: ✅ simplifies workflows by making all information and tools accessible through a single platform. ✅ Optimizes user experience: Persona-based views make it easier to navigate through processes, applications and data ✅ Makes onboarding more efficient: New employees find their way around more quickly and receive targeted support. 💭 How could we make your day-to-day work easier through #digitalization? 🟣 DXC and SKF partner to donate laptops to a Ukrainian University. Following the donation of laptops to schools in Ukraine over the past two years, we’re pleased to share that DXC, through SKF Germany, has donated 10 more refreshed laptops to help Ukrainian students pursue their educational goals. 🙏 With the leadership and support of Bogdan Volchok, Managing Director and Country Manager of SKF Ukraine, Erwin Weis, Manager of Distribution Business at SKF Germany, and Géza Lauturner, Business Development Director at DXC DACH, the laptops were successfully shipped to Ukraine, demonstrating a strong commitment to overcoming the challenges posed by the current situation. 🚚 💻 Appreciating DXC’s contribution, Bogdan said: “Let me share that today we have transferred 3 out of 10 laptops donated by DXC to Lutsk National Technical University. Forklifts glide seemingly effortlessly through kilometre-long halls. Pallets find their exact place as if by themselves – and processes mesh so perfectly that everything seems like magic. But behind this perfection is not a coincidence, but an invisible force that controls everything: the cloud. For KION Group, one of the leading suppliers in warehouse automation and the second-largest forklift manufacturer in the world, this kind of efficiency and flexibility has long been a vision. Their goal? Accelerate processes, reduce operating costs and be ready for the demands of the future. Together, we were able to make this vision a reality – with state-of-the-art technology and a clear plan. 💡 The solution? The complete migration of KION's IT infrastructure and SAP systems to the Microsoft Azure Cloud. In just six months, we worked closely with KION and Microsoft to develop a tailor-made migration plan and implemented it consistently. Week after week, we migrated around 25 servers until all IT was transferred to the cloud. 💪 The result? More powerful, responsive IT for KION Group with less downtime and accelerated processes. In concrete terms, this means: ✅ Efficiency that pays off: With Azure, unused resources can be easily switched off at night. This reduces IT operating costs by around 25% – savings that are passed on directly to customers as price advantages and strengthen KION's business model. ✅ Innovation in warehouse management: Azure-powered automation reduced fleet management system deployment time from eight weeks to less than a day. Virtual, flexible and modular like a Lego construction set. 🧩 ✅ Lightning-fast response in times of crisis: During the pandemic, KION was able to deploy Microsoft 365 and Teams to 22,000 employees within a very short time thanks to the new infrastructure – enabling a seamless switch to working from home.
