Yesterday, we had the honor of welcoming Andreas Carlson, Swedish Minister of Infrastructure and Housing at our Volvo CE headquarters in Eskilstuna, hosted by our President, Melker Jernberg. The visit featured test driving our latest electric machines, exploring innovations with the R&D team, and touring our modernized mixed model line for assembly of transmissions for electric wheel loaders. We enjoyed the opportunity to discuss the transition to fossil-free construction equipment with the Minister – who showed off impressive operator skills at the demo field. 😊 Our key message: We are committed to the shift to sustainable solutions, but demand from the market is still low. We call for effective policy instruments, such as requirements for emission-free machinery in public procurement, to accelerate change. #BuildingTomorrow #ChangeStartsHere
