This year, we celebrate 400 years of Denmark’s postal service – a journey that began in 1624 with King Christian IV’s vision and has grown into a modern delivery and logistics solution across the Nordics.    From nine postal routes established on Christmas Eve in 1624 to today’s digital and sustainable solutions, PostNord Denmark has been a cornerstone of communication and commerce. We’ve seen it all – from the introduction of postage stamps and railway mail to today’s e-commerce and electric deliveries.    This milestone is not only a celebration of our heritage but also a commitment to ongoing innovation and sustainability. ⚡🚛⚡ PostNord Finland is breaking new ground with an exciting pilot project, testing the limits of heavy-duty electric trucks. Launching in March 2025, this electric truck will cover over 700 kilometers daily between the Vantaa and Turku terminals, marking a major milestone in PostNord's journey toward a fossil-free future. 💡 This initiative aims to provide valuable insights into the performance of electric trucks in challenging winter conditions. “We need to understand what’s possible in the electric truck segment. Can we really drive 700 kilometers a day?” says Ilmo Strömberg, Climate Lead at PostNord Finland. 💙 Supported by the Finnish government, this test is a crucial step in our commitment to reducing emissions and promoting more sustainable logistics across the Nordics.
