Om oss
About Matrix Muscle Support Matrix Muscle Support (MMS) is a Swedish MedTech company focused on creating innovative technologies to prevent the increasing incidence of cardiovascular disease through high-precision, low-intensity neuromuscular electrical stimulation. MMS has developed the Matrix-System, an innovative, fully mobile, garment-integrated mechanical circulatory support device that is able to optimize venous blood flow return during prolonged periods of sitting or involuntary physical inactivity. It is a game changer for the prevention of blood clotting and will replace the 20th century inactive compression stockings. MMS is a spin-off company originating from Karolinska Institutet and Karolinska University Hospital, Stockholm, Sweden, where it was co-founded by Professor Paul Ackermann and Robin Juthberg. Background Today, 2.5 billion humans are considered physically inactive, leading to huge suffering and health care costs. Current treatment options to counteract the negative effects of physical inactivity are hampered by low compliance and negative side effects, and there is a growing need for new and better solutions. Vision To become a leading MedTech company that provides state-of-the-art, user-friendly solutions to decrease the incidence of cardiovascular diseases. Mission MMS mission is to improve the quality of life and to save lives among people subdued to a sedentary lifestyle, through comfortable and sustainable MedTech innovations.
