  • 🔷 Strategy without execution is waste. Execution without strategy is meaningless. 🔷 Can leaders be good at creating visionary strategies and masters of executing them, or are these totally different skills? According to HBR, only 8% of company leaders excel at both strategy and execution. This could be due to the fact that different skills are needed, many leaders are focused on their strategic strengths and hand over the execution to someone else, or there are organizational barriers like lack of resources, unclear roles or just insufficient and inadequate communications.   • 📍The importance of "the right" storytelling for change 📍 We all know that communication is essential for change, but what motivates you as a leader sometimes differs from what motivates most of your employees. A common way to communicate is the "good to great" story, or we must change to keep our position as a market leader. These are the stories of making money; even if they are true, they are very rational. They are seldom the stories that motivate your employees and definitely not your clients, either. People are looking for organisations with a purpose broader than just making money, and progressive leaders see profit as a byproduct of success. A clear and visionary purpose brings together talented people, partners, shareholders, communities and clients. At Heroes, we always start every change initiative (big or small) with our client's purpose. This is a compelling way to evaluate your initiative, identify milestones, and use it as a base for the change communication. So instead of using the "good to great" story, lean on your company's purpose and address questions as: ✅ What is our impact in society? ✅ What is our impact on customers? ✅ What is our impact on the working team? ✅ What is our impact on the individual?

  • ❇️ Varför pratar vi så mycket om hållbarhet? ❇️ Vi hjälper våra kunder att säkra hållbara organisationer. Med det menar vi robusta och begripliga affärsmodeller och strategier, iterativt arbetssätt och ett beslutsfattande som främjar ett effektivt genomförande. Dagens affärsförutsättningar förändras snabbt så det gäller att hela verksamheten hänger med och kan ta tillvara på och agera på nya förutsättningar. Det handlar alltså om att effektivt möjliggöra omställning för att vara relevant. Att agera på det som händer i stället för att jobba mot det vi tror eller trodde skulle hända. Med kraven på en mer transparent hållbarhetsredovisning inom EU, har nya förutsättningar tillkommit. Det handlar inte bara om att fixa sin rapportering. EU:s idé är att öka transparensen för att göra det lättare att välja rätt och rensa upp värdekedjor. Kartan för hur företag gör affärer med sina kunder, partners och underleverantörer ritas om och en intensifierad kamp om de “goda” resurserna blir verklighet. Det kommer att krävas nya lösningar. För att fixa sin hållbarhetsrapportering krävs att man gör en s k dubbel väsentlighetsanalys. Den ger verksamheten viktiga insikter om vad som behöver förändras för att vara konkurrenskraftig även framöver. Insikterna är ”bränsle” till affärsutvecklingen och innovationsprocessen så missa inte möjligheten att agera på detta så ditt företag är redo för omställningen. 👉 Har ni gjort en väsentlighetsanalys och behöver ta nästa steg för att införliva det i er verksamhet så kan vi hjälpa er att göra detta på ett effektivt sätt. ----- ❇️ Why do we talk so much about sustainability? ❇️ Today's business conditions are changing rapidly. Hence, it is vital that the entire business keeps up and can take advantage of new conditions and act on them. We help our customers secure sustainable organisations. This means robust and comprehensible business models and strategies, iterative working methods, and decision-making that promotes effective implementation. New conditions have emerged with the demands for a more transparent sustainability report in the EU. Increased transparency will make it easier to find sustainable resources, redraw the map of how companies do business, and intensify the struggle for "good" resources. These are not infinite, meaning you need to find new ways to solve what you do today. Implementing a double materiality analysis is a regulatory requirement and a powerful tool for gaining insights into what needs to change. This is a catalyst for business development and the innovation process, enabling us to transition proactively towards a future competitive business. However, more than reporting is needed. We must seize the opportunity to act on the analysis and the insights it provides.
