Three of our stores in Munich, Warsaw, and London reopened last week, completely reimagined for the future of retail, equipped with high tech features and elevated design. Inside the smart fitting rooms, customers can request items in different colours or sizes, get styling recommendations, or even buy products from hm.com with just one click. Quick and seamless payment options include self-service checkouts, as well as mobile checkouts that store colleagues can offer to customers anywhere in the store. “I am sure that every fashion lover in Warsaw will get goosebumps when entering our new store. "H&M is allowing us to dream big. This was the best night of my life”, said Portia Bhali, from South Africa, one of six colleagues who won a global competition by submitting her fashion memory. The prize was a trip to New York City to join our epic event, taking over Times Square alongside Charli xcx. Jörgen Andersson, Creative Director and jury member for the contest, greeted the winners on-site. He thanked them for sharing their memories, emphasising what fashion can mean beyond just being products, enabling self-expression. “Some made me laugh, some almost made me cry – and all of them touched my heart.” Curious about the winners’ stories? Global pop superstar Christina Aguilera cut the ribbon at the reopening of our Times Square flagship on Thursday. The fully redesigned space features a variety of fashion-forward collections, including the H&M Studio Holiday Capsule, now available. It's also home to H&M's first immersive fitting room in North America, where customers can express themselves by selecting visual themes and music, based on their style choices and moods. “Our Times Square location is an amazing new space for customers to interact with our brand as well as each other”, says Linda Li, Head of Customer Activation and Marketing for H&M Americas. This one’s for the history books. Together with Charli xcx, we took over Times Square with a surprise concert, open to everyone in New York City, on Monday night. Thousands gathered for the landmark open-air performance, including stars Amelia Gray, Irina Shayk, Lila Moss, Iris Law, Julia Fox and Hari Nef. Charli wore custom H&M pieces inspired by our new Holiday 2024 collection. By transforming an historic Parisian nightlife venue into an experiential club space, the H&M event in Paris set the perfect stage to celebrate the Studio Holiday Capsule collection. Fashion lovers, music fans and influencers gathered at the Palais de Tokyo and partied long into the night to live performances by Yseult, Pabllo Vittar, Sevdaliza and OFFSET – all courtesy of H&M. Daniel Ervér, CEO at H&M Group, spoke at The Business of Fashion Voices 2024 today, discussing how creativity has been, and is key to our success. “H&M is about making what’s inaccessible accessible to the many and that means being at the intersection of creativity, affordability and self-expression”, said Daniel Ervér. Attendees were also in for a surprise — Glenn Martens was announced as H&M's autumn 2025 guest designer and he joined on stage. “The collection is almost finished: it’s very me, very quirky, experimental; [I’m] creating little monsters”, Glenn Martens said.
