🙌 We was a part of our sister project ROBIN projects first Mutual Learning Workshop on October 8th, which was a success! The workshop aimed to facilitate the exchange of best practices and explore the replication potential of project assets among European regions. 🌍 Jurijs Grizāns, Senior Expert at ICLEI Europe was the representative of Biomodel4regions, and he discussed the tools that are designed to support regional bioeconomy governance, including governance analysis, monitoring, and development planning tools. 💭 He summerized his reflections on the workshop like this: - I'd particularly like to highlight the great value of bringing together different projects working on supporting local and regional governments in planning and implementing the concept of bioeconomy. The workshop allowed us to exchange good practice, experience, and lessons learned. Workshop participants presented and discussed the intellectual resources created by the projects teams, i.e., practical tools available to the local and regional governments in their journey towards sustainable bioeconomy in Europe. 💚 Read more about the workshop and Robin project here: https://lnkd.in/dGq--dxn

🚮🌍 From Waste to Value! In September, 2024, the Bioeconomy Cluster hosted a workshop in Nitra, Slovakia, bringing together 50+ stakeholders in municipal waste management to discuss sustainable strategies. 🌱 We explored how waste, often sent to landfills, can be transformed into valuable biomass, reducing harmful emissions. A key takeaway? Collaboration is crucial to effective waste management and a circular economy. 💡 We also showcased Nitra’s regional model for engaging the community and improving waste infrastructure.
