The CAD Technician will collaborate closely with landscape Lead Designer and project managers to translate conceptual designs into comprehensive, precise plans and drawings for implementation. Key Responsibilities: • CAD Drafting: Create accurate 2D and 3D landscaping design plans and technical drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.), based on input from landscape architects, designers, and clients. • Design Support: Assist the design team in developing detailed plans for hardscape and softscape elements, including pathways, patios, retaining walls, water features, planting beds, and other landscaping features. • Site Plans: Prepare site-specific plans that integrate landscaping elements with architectural structures, ensuring seamless design and proper spatial alignment. • Detailing & Specifications: Develop detailed sections, elevations, and construction details for landscaping elements. Ensure all drawings adhere to project specifications, codes, and regulatory requirements. • Collaboration: Work closely with landscape architects and other design professionals to refine and adjust plans as needed. Provide technical support during the design and implementation phases of projects. • Survey Data Integration: Incorporate survey data, topographical maps, and site-specific information into CAD drawings to ensure designs are accurate and feasible. • Quality Control: Review and check designs for accuracy, ensuring all dimensions, materials, and design elements are correctly represented. • File Management: Maintain organized CAD drawing files, revisions, and project documentation to ensure quick access and updates as needed. • Revisions & Updates: Make revisions to drawings as requested by project managers or clients.
