Kotani Pay in Thailand - Part 3: (Olympus Founders Brunch + Venture Capital startup pitch competition) One of the standout moments of our Devcon experience was having our Chief of People, Jonathan Morgan, represent Kotani Pay as a judge in the Venture Capital Community's startup pitch competition. Jonathan provided expert advice and insightful feedback to participants, helping shape the next wave of innovative projects. Jonathan also had the privilege of attending the Olympus Founders Brunch hosted by Chain Fusion Hub where he shared more about Kotani Pay’s mission to bridge Web3 and traditional finance. He highlighted our work in empowering communities and businesses to embrace the possibilities of blockchain technology. As a participant in the Olympus Accelerator Program in Kenya, Kotani Pay collaborates with ICP Hub Kenya to mentor aspiring builders in the ICP ecosystem, sharing knowledge and insights about building a successful startup. It was inspiring to witness innovative pitches featuring products built on the ICP network, showcasing the ecosystem’s potential. We’re excited to continue supporting and contributing to the growth of Web3 innovation across Africa and beyond.

Blockchain Africa Conference 2024 - (Recap) Our team—represented by Brian A. K., Dennis Macharia, and Sibusiso Menzi Sithole had the pleasure of engaging with key industry leaders at this year’s Blockchain Africa Conference organized by Bitcoin Events . Celo holds a special place in our story, as Kotani Pay’s journey began with a mobile-first approach built on the Celo protocol. This event felt like coming home, offering us the chance to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones within the vibrant Celo ecosystem. Our CEO, Felix Macharia had a chance to meet and catch up with Rene Reinsberg as they shared some insights and growth strategies for the Celo ecosystem. As Celo transitions from a Layer 1 blockchain to a Layer 2 solution, we were inspired by the bold vision shared by Marek Olszewski, Celo's CTO. He highlighted the remarkable progress the community has made in scaling the protocol and solidifying its position as the home of stablecoins. Aligning with the #CryptoIsUseless campaign, the numbers speak for themselves—over $525 million in transactions have been performed on the Celo blockchain, proving its real-world utility This wasn’t just a gathering; it was a launchpad for what’s to come.
