ZONIN1821 AMONG THE LEADING PROTAGONISTS OF THE TRENTODOC FESTIVAL Trento is one of the capitals of the transformation of Italian wine, a product that has become a cultural asset. The Trentodoc Festival, held from September 20th to 22nd, celebrates not only the hedonistic value of wine but also its cultural and economic significance. Bottles were opened and sparkling wines were tasted, but the festival also featured various forms of art, including performances, events, and cultural meetings focused on literature, theater, and music—all revolving around the wine and the city center, welcoming both locals and tourists. During the talk "The New Evolutions of the Wine Market," organized by Corriere della Sera, Francesco Zonin presented the company’s vision, emphasizing the central role of education, engagement with younger generations, and the projects developed by the #ZONIN1821Academy in collaboration with universities. A key focus was the product innovations created to meet the evolving needs of consumers, such as Limoneto Spritz and Cuvée Zero under the ZONIN brand. "The education of future generations is a cornerstone of our corporate culture, deeply rooted in the entrepreneurial vision of our family. Knowledge is a source of well-being, freedom, and a better future. With Millennials and Gen Z, our industry must learn to engage with topics that go beyond traditional product characteristics, which too often focus solely on organoleptic qualities. Furthermore, it’s important to approach them with a more interactive dialogue rather than a one-way communication. As producers, we need to understand what these generations expect from the wine world, provide them with the information to understand it, but also encourage them to interpret and enrich it. In 2023, the company launched a particularly important project aimed at promoting and enhancing Wine Culture, Made in Italy, and Sustainability through the involvement of younger generations. Through a structured series of lectures organized in collaboration with Italy’s leading universities and schools, including SDA Bocconi, IULM, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Università Ca’ Foscari of Venice, MIB Trieste School of Management, Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna of Pisa, Università del Salento, and Università degli Studi di Palermo, as well as foreign institutions such as King's College London, Stockholm Business School, and the Austrian HBLA Pitzelstätten, ZONIN1821 is fostering a multi-voiced dialogue with students to share the knowledge the company has preserved for generations, while also welcoming questions, doubts, and suggestions on how to improve."
