After months of planning and reflecting, it’s time to share some exciting news: by the end of this year, Pinpoint will evolve into Tinental. Why the change? When we started as Pinpoint, our mission was clear—leveraging predictive maintenance to “pinpoint” inefficiencies and solve problems. The name perfectly captured our focus back then. But things have changed. Our ambitions have grown. We still offer our predictive maintenance Suite but today, we’re tackling one of the biggest global challenges: Energy inefficiency. With industries spending over $3.5 trillion annually on energy for motor driven machinery, our energy-saving solutions have the potential to create an incredible impact. This evolution called for a name that could keep pace with our vision. We wanted a name that embodies something monumental That’s how Tinental was born—a nod to something colossal and boundless, just like our aspirations.   Join us on this exciting journey—we promise, the best is yet to come. In our previous post, we highlighted the impact of energy-saving measures, which lowered energy bills by USD 680 billion in IEA countries in 2022. The bad (but also good) news is that there's still a huge margin for improvement, especially in the industrial sector, the tail end of efficiency investments. The industrial sector has the least investment in energy efficiency, with only USD 24 billion, far less than transportation (USD 128 billion) and buildings (USD 215 billion). Our set-point modulation technology targets industrial machinery, which accounts for 74% of industrial energy consumption. We understand that manufacturing lines are critical assets, and any interruption or modification is costly in terms of time, resources and profitability. This is why we designed our IoT solution to be installed in just a few minutes, without interrupting the system and without requiring any sensors or changes to the entire system. We often talk about energy-saving practices as good things to do, but how good are they really? Well, in 2022 energy savings from past efficiency actions lowered energy bills by USD 680 billion in IEA countries. This result highlights the importance of reducing energy demand alongside the push for renewable energy. Renewables are gradually becoming more affordable, but challenges remain, particularly with daily and seasonal fluctuations and storage issues. These problems will eventually be overcome; however, to truly accelerate the green transition, energy efficiency measures must be taken more seriously, especially in industrial manufacturing lines and systems, which are the greatest source of energy consumption (and waste), yet underrated as we’ll see later this week. data source: https://lnkd.in/gtaFWqeX
