  • 🌊 South Face Paradise: Project Ulisse Successfully Reaches the Sea! 🌊 We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of Project Ulisse! Our adventurous journey down the Vjosa River, the last wild river in Europe, has reached its triumphant end as our raft, made entirely of recycled materials, has touched the waters of the Adriatic Sea. 🚣♂️ The Journey Carlo and Gabriele embarked on a remarkable voyage along the 173 kilometers of the Vjosa River, which flows between Greece and Albania. This river, renowned for its unspoiled beauty, is the centerpiece of an international environmental battle known as “Save the Blue Heart of Europe.” This campaign, supported by global environmentalists, notable brands like Patagonia, and celebrities such as Leonardo DiCaprio, succeeded in 2023 with the establishment of the Vjosa National Park, the first wild river park in Europe. An Unbreakable Bond The extraordinary challenges of this journey have further solidified the bond between Carlo and Gabriele. Their friendship, built on a shared passion for exploration and sustainable innovation, has seen them conquer various waterways from the Orco Valley stream to the Po River, and now, the Vjosa River leading to the Adriatic Sea. Sustainability at the Core The entire expedition was a testament to our commitment to sustainability. The raft was constructed using only recycled and reclaimed materials, emphasizing our dedication to minimizing environmental impact. Accompanied by Luca and Simone from South Face Paradise in kayaks, the team documented the rich biodiversity and unique ecosystem of the Vjosa River using a GPS tracker and sensors provided by our partner, Outbe, specialists in citizen science. Global Recognition We are proud to share that Project Ulisse has garnered international attention, being featured in 24 major publications around the world. This widespread coverage highlights the global significance of our mission and the importance of preserving wild rivers like the Vjosa. 🌍 A Documentary Journey Our journey was meticulously captured by the talented filmmakers of Acid Rain, who have been documenting the story to share it with a wider audience. This documentary aims to highlight not just the adventure of Carlo and Gabriele but also the beauty and significance of the Vjosa River and the efforts to preserve it. Join Us in Celebrating This Achievement We invite you to follow South Face Paradise on our social media platforms to stay updated on the release of our documentary and other exciting projects.
