Meet BOOST! It's a game-changing project driving the energy transition by recycling plastic waste to embrace a fully circular model, funded by the European Union through the Innovation Fund by CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency. BOOST aims to create the first industrial-scale plant using NXRe PMMA continuous modular technology, developed by MyRemono, a subsidiary of NEXTCHEM. This technology enables the high-purity recovery of monomers from sorted plastic waste, particularly PMMA, through continuous chemical recycling. The goal? To provide a circular solution to plastic waste by converting PMMA waste into a sustainable source for r-MMA production, slashing GHG emissions by 96% over 10 years compared to traditional methods. NEXTCHEM has been awarded the licensing and the Process Design Package for a Sustainable Aviation Fuel (“SAF”) plant located in Sei Mangkei, Indonesia. ➡️ This will be the first plant that will produce SAF with high efficiency, mainly from palm oil mill effluent (POME), enabling the full valorization of this feedstock in the country, including certified used cooking oil, and demonstrating the economic sustainability of small-scale plants. ➡️ The plant is expected to produce 60,000 tonnes per year of SAF entirely from a domestic feedstock, accounting for approximately 5% of the jet fuel demand of the Jakarta international airport. ➡️ NEXTCHEM will offer an integrated end-to-end solution combining its NX PTU™ and NX SAF™ BIO proprietary technologies. ➡️ Read more: https://lnkd.in/gT2d742j

NEXTCHEM, through its subsidiary MyRemono, has signed a Toll Manufacturing Agreement with Röhm. ➡️ Röhm will supply PMMA scrap material feedstock to be processed and chemically transformed into ultra-pure monomers with virgin-like quality via the NXRe™ PMMA technology. ➡️ MyRemono will manage the chemical recycling at its first-of-its-kind industrial-scale plant, currently being developed in Italy. The facility will yield recycled MMA with GHG emissions reduced by over 90% and process 5,000 tons of PMMA per annum, sufficient to produce about 10 million car taillights. ➡️ Read more: https://lnkd.in/eNyGVtYM

Another step ahead for sustainable energy and circular solutions! 💪 We just signed an MOU with Acacia Power Sdn Bhd to develop massive wooden chips power plants in Sarawak, Malaysia, using our NX-EnerCircle technology. Sarawak is set to lead the region's energy transition, and we're excited to be part of this game-changing journey, bringing our expertise and technology to make it happen. We had the honor of sharing this moment with Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinnggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, a visionary in tech innovation and energy transition, the Italian Ambassador to Malaysia, Dr. Massimo Rustico and our Giovanni Sale, Energy Transition Strategy SVP. Big thanks to the Deputy State Secretary Sarawak, Dato Sri Dr Muhammad Abdullah Zaidel, and to Dato Mohammed Bin Haji Ibrahim, CEO of SARAWAK PETCHEM SDN BHD, for their insights on fertilizer and e-fuel industries. Also, a huge shoutout to Fabrizio Ceccarelli, CFA from SACE, Head of Southeast and Pacific Area, for his valuable contribution!
