The Ethiopian Securities Exchange (ESX) is the first and sole organized securities exchange in Ethiopia. ESX is recognized as a self-regulatory organization (SRO) under the Capital Market's Proclamation, to be licensed by the ECMA. As a pioneer securities exchange and market organizer, ESX aims to play a critical role in the development and growth of the Ethiopian capital market. Mission - To become a leading and innovative national and regional marketplace that contributes to the economic development of Ethiopia by promoting savings and the efficient aggregation of capital for long-term investment. - To provide a modern, reliable, transparent, and efficient environment for securities trading in Ethiopia, through adaptation of modern exchange business operations, skill, technology, and trust.
