🎄 Dangling between glittering ornaments and shining fairy lights, 136 wonderfully designed wish cards from the children and adolescents of the Vorarlberger Kinderdorf and Paedakoop have found their way onto the Christmas trees at our Dornbirn locations. For the tenth year running, Zumtobel Group employees have once again taken part in the much-loved Christmas tradition of fulfilling Christmas wishes as part of a voluntary campaign. 🎁 A heartfelt thank you to all those colleagues who have contributed and added a spark of Christmas joy to the young people's lives. #tradition #christmas #presents #children #happy #Vorarlberg #thankyou #ZGteam #ZGspirit

The Notre-Dame de Paris - a UNESCO World Heritage Site - has been reopened just days ago, following its restoration due to a devastating fire five years earlier. For its restauration, artist and designer Patrick Rimoux was tasked with the complete lighting design of the cathedral. To perfectly set the cathedral's vaults of the nave and transept in scene, Rimoux relied on his longstanding partnership with the Zumtobel Group, its Zumtobel office in Paris and the company's extensive know-how as well as experience. For this project, Thorn Lighting's projector Contrast was chosen and adapted, fulfilling the lighting designer's high demands. Thank you again to Patrick Rimoux, GAUDILLERE ET CIE and Association Diocésaine de Paris. Photos ©Julio Piatti / Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris

To boost our research and development of innovative lighting solutions, we’ve been granted a EUR 50 million loan by the European Investment Bank (EIB). The funding will support R&D projects in our EU locations that are planned for the next three financial years, with a total budget of EUR 191 million. The R&D-projects will develop smart components for indoor and outdoor lighting systems and will create innovative and energy-efficient lighting solutions for smart buildings and cities. All the projects focus on energy efficiency and connectivity, supporting EU sustainability and digitalisation objectives. #Research #Development #ZGfinance #Boost #EIB #Lighting #Digitalisation #EnergyEfficiency #Solutions #SmartBuilding #SmartCity #Connectivity #Sustainability

This year, the Lebanese-French architect Lina Ghotmeh accepted the invitation to continue the traditional series of the Zumtobel Group Annual Reports, which have been designed since 1991, with the 33rd edition. For the design of the Annual Report, she was inspired to research light’s impact on our environment: Light as a physical phenomenon and a social connector whose meaning extends beyond what is visible – from its origins to the present. This autumn, Lina Ghotmeh attended the presentation of the publication and the opening of the exhibition at the Zumtobel Group's Dornbirn Light Forum. We took this opportunity to conduct an interview with her about Windows of Light. We hope you enjoy watching! Last week, we hosted the two-day event „Sports Special“ at the Light Forum at our headquarters in Dornbirn. The focus was on innovative lighting solutions for the #sports sector. Together with international partners and customers from three continents, we were able to provide valuable insights and inspiration. The first day included presentations on the solutions from Zumtobel Lighting and Thorn Lighting. Saurabh Pandhi, Vice President of Thorn Lighting, and our partners from Red Bull München (Burkhardt von Wagner & Kerim Mashhour 👏) shared their expert knowledge. During a tour of the Light Forum, our guests experienced the products of our brands firsthand. A visit to our luminaire manufacturing facility and laboratories offered exclusive insights into the development process of our products. On the second day, our guests visited the newly opened SAP Garden in Munich, the new home of EHC Red Bull. Here, they had the opportunity to explore the state-of-the-art arena, its development stages, and the latest technologies installed. The highlight of the day was the continuation of our training in the Players Club, where participants experienced the atmosphere in which players prepare for the game before stepping onto the ice. 🏒❄️ We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all participants and look forward to continuing to offer hands-on #training to support our customers and partners in their projects. #ZumtobelGroup #LightingSolutions #SportsSpecial #Innovation #Teamwork #SAPGarden #RedBulls #SAPGarden #ZGevents #LightForum #Dornbirn #Thorn #Zumtobel #WeMakeLightWork #TheLight #WeLiveLight
