The #Rabeha Programme - jointly implemented by UNIDO Egypt and UN Women Egypt is empowering women artisans by providing training, business coaching, and opportunities to access new markets. This year, 80 women-owned enterprises and beneficiaries of #Rabeha, are showcasing their handcrafted products at the #Turathna (Our Heritage) exhibition, running from December 12 to 21 in #Cairo. Now in its sixth consecutive year, Turathna is #Egypt’s largest exhibition dedicated to heritage products and handicrafts. Hosted by the Medium, Small and Micro Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA), the event brings together skilled creators, craftsmen, and artists from across the world. All proceeds from product sales go directly to the women artisans, supporting their growth and independence. Transforming #Jordan's Agri-Food System for a Sustainable Future! The Ministry of Agriculture in Jordan, in collaboration with FAO and #UNIDO, launched a Joint #SDG Fund-funded Joint Programme on Transforming Jordan's agrifood system towards greater sustainability and resilience. This transformative program is set to enhance sustainability and resilience in the country’s agri-food system, tackling key challenges like climate change, food insecurity, and the need for inclusion of women, youth, and refugees.
